La Baguette Dorée — Restaurant in Agadir

Unbelievably rude service, the lady/girl who seems to have a superior position over her 2 other colleagues seemed ok at first, as i was walking around the bakery to decide what i wanted (mind you, it is my first time here) she got agitated that she had to wait for my decision, took no more than 30 seconds.

As i picked several options from their desserts she decides it is ok to help another customer in between. Very strange. Especially given we were with no more than 3 customers, there were none when i came in a minute or 2 earlier and 3 sales associates

4 desserts later i decide i want to try their cookies, and rather than asking for a tasting i choose to buy 5 almond cookies. This was not possible according to the sales person. It HAD to be 250 grams, 500 grams or a kilo. I say no and make it clear im not interested in these amounts as it is a trial, suddenly my humble 110 grams were miraculously permitted.

She packed my selection and continues to instruct her colleague at the cash register to input the prices, this is done at such a speed that no ordinary human being can possibly follow, her colleague tells her to please repeat the amounts, madam superior gets even more agitated and starts huffing and puffing, her colleagues burst out into giggles and tell her that shes barking at full speed.

I feel like i was cheated price wise as well but since i cant proof this, as i was not handed a receipt, i wont remark on that.

Now the taste test, mediocre at best, truly nothing special, most things were far too sweet for our liking, 2 desserts made partly out of dough had a near burnt taste which i should have noticed as they were darker than regular.

The best thing about this place is that it has a bright, open and welcoming atmosphere, a bit misleading but nevertheless aesthetically pleasing bakery.

The place is well situated and today I decided to eat the breakfast in this coffee.

I ordered a complet petit déjeuner with the tea.

Honestly it was a good breakfast on the exception that the Amlou wasn’t a real one and the orange jus was mixed with water which I really didn’t appreciate.

The omelette is a bit dry as well and is not the same as in the menu with tomato’s and herbs but just a simple one with some slide of tomatoes aside and few olives.
