I honestly don’t understand why some people have left bad reviews for Chhiwat l’khayma my experience was completely the opposite. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, everything was wonderful and made me feel like I was getting more than just a meal, but a whole experience.
As soon as you walk in, there’s a genuine warm welcome, which already sets the tone. The décor is beautiful, well thought-out, and very clean. What really stood out to me is that you can actually see all the cooking stations in action, and the fresh bread being made right there to order, the traditional way that in itself was a treat to watch.
The staff were brilliant. Since the menu was in French, they took the time to explain things to me without ever making me feel awkward or rushed. I also had a few specific requests with my food, and they handled them so kindly and without hesitation – not once did I feel like I was being a burden, which says a lot about the service.
The food was simply amazing. Full of flavour, authentic, and clearly made with care. And then, to top it off, the live singing completely transformed the atmosphere it was lively, fun, and really gave the restaurant such a special vibe. The place was busy, full of people enjoying themselves, which to me is always a good sign.
Another thing I appreciated was the dedicated kids’ play area such a thoughtful addition for families. It makes it more than just a restaurant, but a place where everyone can feel comfortable and enjoy themselves.
Now, yes, I know some people mention the prices being a little high. Personally, I think that’s a choice you make when you decide to dine here. It’s clear from the moment you enter that this isn’t a quick bite type of place it’s about the full experience, and for me, it was absolutely worth it.
If you’re looking for more than just dinner if you want great food, a lively atmosphere, attentive service, and an experience you’ll remember then I can’t recommend Chhiwat l’khayma enough. I left with a big smile and will definitely be...
Read moreIf you are seeking an establishment that will impose excessive charges for its services, I would advise considering this venue. I cannot recommend it under any circumstances.
During our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn next door, we placed an order for several items, including Tajin, Kabob, and Boulaf. Upon receiving the bill, we were surprised to find additional charges not only for the meat but also for the preparation of the food—a practice I have not encountered in my travels to 29 countries and my experiences dining in the United States. In two days we ordered food for more than $300 dollars.
Furthermore, we ordered seafood soup, and the staff member who delivered our order failed to provide any spoons. Upon contacting the restaurant to request utensils, we were assured that they would be delivered promptly. However, after 15 minutes, we had still not received the spoons, and by that time, the soup had already cooled. We decided to share the soup, and when we called again, we were informed that someone would arrive at our door within two minutes. Yet, another 15 minutes elapsed without any delivery. When we followed up once more, the representative who answered the phone was dismissive and stated they were unsure why the spoons had not been delivered, adding that they would "see what they could do." This response, after 35 minutes of waiting, was quite unsatisfactory.
It is evident that this establishment requires significant improvement in customer service training. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this venue to anyone.
Stay away and save your money in a place where they would appreciate your money...
Read moreI recently had the chance to dine at Chhiwat L'Khayma, and overall, it was a pleasant experience with a few points worth mentioning. First of all, parking is definitely not a problem, which is always a relief when visiting a busy area. The restaurant offers a spacious and accessible parking area, making arrival stress-free.
The food was delicious and well-prepared. The menu has a good variety, and everything we tried was flavorful and fresh. The traditional Moroccan dishes were especially enjoyable, showing attention to authentic taste and quality ingredients. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a décor that reflects Moroccan heritage in a tasteful way.
As for the service, it was moderate. The staff was friendly, but there was a noticeable issue during our visit. We ordered a variety of fresh juices, each person choosing a different flavor. To our surprise, the waiter served the same juice to everyone. When we inquired about it, he casually mentioned that it was a "cocktail for everyone," without any prior communication. It was only after we insisted and spoke to another staff member that our correct juice orders were brought to us.
Despite this misstep, the overall experience was enjoyable. With some improvement in communication and attention to detail in service, this place has great potential. I'd still recommend it for its good food and convenient location, but I hope they fine-tune their...
