Would give it 5 stars but pretty tired of the waiters that see an American and automatically think they want them asking for their Facebook or phone number, or cheating me in what the cost of their food is just because I didn't ask for a menu. Get more professional waiters and I'll give it five stars. 😊 I wrote this review a month ago, but since that time I was encouraged by my friend to talk with the owner, I did, and it was a bit embarrassing because the owner spoke to the guy right there in front of everyone (everyone's looking) and the guy lied and said he didn't know English to ask me for my Facebook (smh I understand english when someone says a cup of coffee for a beautiful lady, and, "you have Facebook? ") but I said it's fine, I just want to be able to come here without being hit on. But when my friend and I came to the restaurant, my friend told the owner "my friend is not the person to accuse when she's not sure ", and the owner told him don't worry that person is no longer here, I let him go that day. So instead of letting there be a scene he just waited until the end of the evening to tell him don't come back. He said he doesn't accept that any of his customers should be treated bad, that they are everything to him. My hat off to this owner, thank you! Since then I've been there several times and have gotten the best service, I don't know the guys name but he speaks a little English, he is by far the best waiter I've encountered in all Morocco. By far the worst Venezia ice in Casablanca. Don't bother stopping. If this is the future of the business it has no future. There are plenty of excellent patisseries in Casablanca and in Europe, so I don't have a crying need to take a photograph of what they have to offer. So when my elderly mother who had walked with us to the cafe wanted to see what was available and as the menu has limited pictures, I went to take a photo at the counter of what was left so she could choose from the comfort of her seat. Oh no!! I might as well have been taking trade secrets, as the manager got himself into a real turmoil telling me that I was forbidden to take photos!!
