One of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I visited this restaurant with a friend who was in Morocco for a short visit, excited to enjoy the view that the location is known for. When we arrived, there were several empty tables by the glass with the best view. I kindly requested one of them, but was immediately told they were "all reserved." Oddly enough, the only people seated at those tables were white foreigners. I wear a headscarf, and while my friend doesn’t, she isn’t white, this immediately felt like blatant discrimination.
We decided to leave because there was no point in staying if we couldn’t enjoy the view we came for. As my friend was casually taking photos of the space, the staff suddenly seemed panicked and suspicious, as though she might be an influencer. Suddenly, they “found” a table for us by the view, the very same tables that were supposedly “reserved.” The rest of the time we were there, none of these tables were ever occupied.
The service was terrible. It took forever for them to take our order and even longer to bring the food. When it finally arrived, the food was mediocre at best and absolutely not worth the price - over 1000 dirhams.
It’s incredibly disappointing that this is a restaurant in Morocco but they prioritize foreigners over locals who are paying the same (if not more). As a Moroccan, I felt deeply disrespected, and the entire experience was shameful. I will never return, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone. If you’re looking for good food, respectful service, and authentic Moroccan hospitality,...
Read moreCame here during Ramadan. At this time the menu is mixed between usual Asian and Sushi dishes and the Mediterranean cuisine normally served at Le Cabestan next door. We were after the Mediterranean dishes, but it turned out that they were out of most of it, including the bottle of Sancerre we ordered, but they had good (but expensive) other wine options (ended up with a bottle of Pouilly-Fuissé, Chardonnay). Started out with some fresh oysters which were absolutely great, served in traditional French style with lemon and vinaigrette. As main course we wanted a couple of fish dishes – which we got, but in the Asian style (as the other options were non-available), watch out they can be hot and spicy, finished it off with a couple of nice dessert options, both the souffle and profiteroles roles are recommendable. On the more negative side is no English menu cards (only French), staff not super attentive, so wine and water glasses sometimes ran empty, however nothing can beat that ocean view – its fantastic, especially if you manage to get a table by the panorama windows – in part of the restaurant they open up when its warm enough giving partly outside seating. Please note even at night the view is spectacular. Both alcoholic and virgin cocktails...
Read moreI arrived before the rush by easily 20 minutes. The host was wonderful and found me a seat with no reservation. It went downhill from there. I couldn't get any servers as two servers were fighting over who would have to take me. I ordered two nigiri and a bottled water and let the server know I would order the rest when I was done looking at the menum. That was the last time I saw any server.
The server that was in my section who didn't want to take me only had one table and the server that was taking me got double sat with two four tops. So I figured he would swing by before going to them because it's a lot easier to take care of a single as all I had to do was order my entree. And get me out of the way.
25 minutes later and not even an eye contact from the server or even the server that was actually in my section.
Giving the food one star as because of the server, I wasnt even able to try it. I went up to the host and paid through there. And I guess there was no manager that wanted to save...
