Quite a phenomenal experience all together. We were visiting Casablanca on work and decided to end the trip with a lunch at Cabestan. Making reservations was very simple- on WhatsApp. They answer any questions you have before going.
When we arrived we were greeted so warmly. We couldn’t decide on inside or outside so they were actually very patient and accommodating to move us to have the exact perfect location. We landed on a beautiful outside table that had views facing the ocean- which was breathtaking. I researched other restaurants in the coast, but all of them were located in areas where industrial ports disrupted the natural landscape of the waves. Not here, it was really beautiful and intimate. Mr Oussama was our main server. Each table had a team of individuals who took care of the tables which made the service exceptional. Always cared for, drinks always filled, great recommendations and excellent timing. One doesn’t come to simply eat here- they come to dine. And that an important difference. Oussama was attentive, graceful and knowledgeable.
Finally we somehow ended up talking to two ladies next to us- and he was friendly enough to acknowledge the moment- it was quite special having all five of us have a moment of unexpected meeting.
We started with the sardines (divine) and the stracticelle, which to be honest I wished we have gone with the roasted tomato buffalo, but my mother loved it. Then we had the sea bass ceviche (refreshing and delicious.) finally we chose the John Dory and the lemon risotto(exceptional).
We didn’t have dessert because the portions were perfect. But we had coffee and tea. To my surprise the tea was TWG which is the most exceptional tea that I have had in the world. I’m a severe tea drinker and collector. I bought more of mine in Paris and Singapore- i had the Milk Oolong. And it was incredible. Oussama explained that the owners of Bacha coffee and TWG is the same owner. Thrilled.
So there was a boutique and we were able to get the tea and coffee there.
Finally- we used the washroom before leaving- and one of the walls is a glass wall that over looks the ocean. It’s Like a small living room and powder room at the same time.
In general- beautiful experience- definitely an essential place to go when in Casa. Super special thanks to Mr Oussama for his care, professionalism...

Called a week ahead to make reservations for my wife’s birthday. They took my reservation and hung up before I could finish talking. I had to call back to request a small birthday cake with a candle. They took down my wife’s name and read back the message.
When we arrived, they rushed us to our seats before I could ask about the birthday cake. My bad, but still shouldn’t feel rushed. We sat down and asked for a different table with an ocean view, and they said yes but ended up giving that table to another couple instead.
We were then brought to the outside seating area, which was much more crowded. There was an ocean view, however it was through dirty glass windows.
Outside area was also close to their bar area, which had flashing and dance music - ok, but probably not everyone’s vibe.
Service was terrible.
The waiter shoved my wife’s drink under the plate, so when she picked it up, the base of glass caught on the plate and it spilled.
Drink glasses were wet and served on wet coasters.
My wife’s dinner was served 20 minutes before mine. Yeah, literally 20 minutes… She ordered butter chicken, which was very good, but server who replaced dinner rolls put the rolls on her dinner plate instead of a side plate - not normal, felt off.
I had the duck pizza. It was mid. I asked for pepperoni pizza, but they were out?
In general, servers were distracted and didn’t check on our table. I had to waive him down for 75% of our interactions.
Both the table to the left and right of us complained about the lack of service. I honestly don’t know how this place has good reviews.
Bathroom was cool but didn’t have a clean feeling. Garbage lid was broken and always open. Toilet paper was loose and hanging. Furniture looked shoddy.
And you guessed it, no birthday cake. My wife and I left instead of trying to deal with getting a cake.
Would...
Read moreI was never ignored in any other restaurants but this restaurant gave me impressions that they do not care about me all the time during my visit. Since I sat on the table, I had to wait more than 30 minutes until they finally came to receive my orders. I waved my hands but no one came and I had to wave again to get their attention and place an order. At the payment, I had to wait at the counter again, where they were talking to each other but no one was taking care of me while I was standing there. Finally a man came, just gave me the bill, put my card on the machine, and returned my card, without saying anything like at least Thank you. I felt that they really don't care how I felt in the restaurant or how I enjoyed the food, and it seemed that they just want to get the money and make me leave. The employees were not educated about how to treat the customers and they were so rude with me, not treating me as a customer, especially considering the price and level of this type of restaurant. After having visited so many fancy restaurants in various countries, I can say no other restaurants made me so pissed off as this place. It has a great view but what value would it have if they refuse you to sit on the table with views, even though there were lots of empty tables with views? Some of them were reserved, but many of them were still empty until I finished my meal. In addition, they refused me to use the second floor, even though there were lots of empty floors there and there were customers eating there when I arrived. The food was not bad and at first I wanted to order lots of dishes including desserts but I changed my mind after their horrible service. They made me want to spend as little as possible here. After the meal, both of us had diarrhea until...
