⚠️ ⛔️ CAUTION! DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE! YOUR LIFE IS AT RISK! THERES NO COMING BACK. ⚠️ ⛔️

I am currently in the hospital writing this review. I am lucky to have the opportunity to write this. As of right now, I am currently suffering from Cap Sparteliumia. That is a disease you can get after eating there. I am also 24/7 on the toilet. I have diahrrea. We went with a group of 5 to the restaurant, and 3 of us went home with bowels. Oh my god. My toilet won’t have a good time. But it’s a good place to put the food away incase u dont want it.

We ordered some shrimps and other things, the best food was the fries. The rest of the food was made 3 years ago. Some of the food looked good from the outside, but from the inside 🤢 it tasted like metal but smolten. Take the pizza for example. It was DULL and UNEDIBLE. SO DISGUSTING! THAT WASNT PIZZA MAGHERITA, THAT WAS PIZZA ASTAGFIRULLAHTA! Also my burger was NOT BAD, but the sauce for the fries I was given: EW! THAT KETCHUP WAS ROTTEN! IT DIDN’T TASTE LIKE KETCHUP! THEY PROBABLY WENT TO THE PHARMACIE AND PUT MEDICINE IN MY KETCHUP! CHOUMA! AND ALSO THE VEGETABLES ON MY (GRAND)MOTHERS PLATE! Surely those were sent to the doctor to have plastic surgery, there were so FAT! It also tasted like plastic. Also the shwa on the stick was like Roblox: BLOCKY and HARD. My teeth are aching so hard. And now the WORST part, the shrimps. OH MY I dont wanna know what that smell was, it was worse than the smell of my toilet. My sister smelled it and she got a stomach ache and didn’t touch them anymore. Imagine what would’ve happened if she ate one! 🦐 OH, OH! THE MAN ALSO PUT THE SHRIMPS BACK IN THE BASKET! EWWWW! WE WERE SERVED OLD SHRIMPS THAT SOMEONE PROBABLY PUT A HAND ON! EWWWWWW! AND THE BILL! SO EXPENSIVE! MY STOMACH WANTS A REFUND FROM WHAT IVE EATEN! Never going near that place again. If you give this food to a homeless man, there’s more chance he’ll throw it away than actually (SOMEHOW) consuming THAT.

⚠️ ONE LAST WARNING, DO NOT VISIT! I AM SCARED FOR LIFE! GOD KNOWS WHAT WAS PUT IN THE FOOD! ⚠️

The guy...

The Café Restaurant Cap Spartel, across from an old lighthouse on the Atlantic, is located at the far northwest corner of North Africa, at the entrance to the narrow Strait of Gibraltar that separates Africa from Europe and where the Atlantic Ocean merges into the Mediterranean Sea.

For decades this restaurant has served fish and other foods to countless tourists and Moroccans. Bus loads of tourists would pull up and they would have a traditional Moroccan mint tea or meal before moving on to another location such as Chefchaouen or Asilah.

In March 2021, I went to this restaurant with a friend from Agadir, who parked his car in the very large parking lot. Immediately I noticed a large new outdoor dining area up some stairs behind the large main restaurant. It was almost completely full.

When a table became available, we sat under an umbrella. The waiter came promptly and we ordered only mint teas, brought in small pots with small glasses. It was not the best tea I've had in many years of visiting Morocco, and my friend agreed it wasn't that good. Our teas cost 16 Dirhams each, plus a tip.

This upper outside area of the Café Restaurant Cap Spartel is surrounded on two sides by a large fenced-in enclosed playground for young children, with swings and slides, etc.

There were families and tourists, some with children, eating fish, pizzas and salads or just having a drink. But even here you could see the ocean through the trees, over the roof of the original large restaurant down below.

Afterwards, we went out front in to look at the panoramic views and the iconic lighthouse. I walked up the stairs and went inside to look at the menu, and saw the fresh fish available on ice displayed inside the chilled cabinet. I thought the prices high as some fishes were 60 DH to 100 DH per 100 grams.

But there were also hamburgers, pizzas and pastas on the menu, along with other items that were more affordable. You might even have an omlette or complete breakfast here while enjoying the views and tranquil surroundings, away from the noisy downtown...

Cap Spartel – Where Two Seas Meet and One Tagine Steals the Show

Cap Spartel is that magical spot where the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea politely shake hands before going their separate ways. Standing by the lighthouse, you get sweeping views that make you feel both tiny and important at the same time — like you’ve just stumbled onto the edge of a map in an old adventure novel. On the way up, you even pass one of the King’s many palaces, a gentle reminder that while some of us collect fridge magnets, others collect entire palatial estates.

Tucked into this postcard-perfect location is a charming café where the staff are so warm and welcoming, you half expect them to adopt you. I ordered the Lamb Tagine and can confidently say it was less of a meal and more of a life event. The meat was so tender it surrendered to the fork without a fight, the sauce so rich and aromatic it deserved its own fan club.

For dessert, the Nutella crepe arrived positively brimming with chocolate — so generously filled that I suspect it was smuggling half the cocoa reserves of West Africa. Sweet, indulgent, and entirely unapologetic.

If you find yourself anywhere near Tangier, do yourself a favour: visit Cap Spartel. Come for the views, stay for the lamb, and leave with your heart (and stomach)...

Amazing location. But that’s it. The food looked amazing on the menu on the pictures. But when we ordered it looked nothing like it. It had no flavour. We ordered grilled sea food platter and it was just grilled- was chewy prawns. No flavour in food- and it showed some sort of dipping oil or butter but they did not serve with it when asked they have plain olive oil. Coffee was ok, bread was stoggy. Could have done with some flavouring. I would not recommend this place at all. The waiting staff took too long to come and communication was not that great. WiFi available but had patchy network.
