Absolutely random prices. We ordered a cake for 10 people and we paid 290dh. A week later we ordered EXACTLY the same cake for the SAME amount of people. This time we had to pay 450dh(!). Not even in Switzerland I ever paid 45 francs for a cake. Anyways, since there was no explanation beforehand at all, why from one week to another they charge 150dh more for the same product, we called the lady. I mean, she should have told us the moment we ordered, then we would have had the choice. After long and TIME CONSUMING discussions they gave us only 100dh back. And we even had to fight for it, she only wanted to give us 50dh.
This place is a TOURIST TRAP, you can also read in previous reviews that the prices are random and differ from one week to another.
And additionally: We ordered the cake to be ready at 12.00, since we had an appointment in Agadir. The lady called us at 11.55 and asked us to wait 30 min more. I am usually understanding, because delays can happen. But in this case, sorry. With all the understanding and compassion: Your costumer service was really unsatisfying and unprofessional. Especially because we have been regular and...
Read moreI stayed in Tamaragh for one week. We had a cooking class arranged with Maryam to learn how to make Tagine. It was such an amazing experience. We went to buy all the ingredients at the local Tuesday Market. We had prepared and ate a 5 course meal!! We made a Moroccan salad, an eggplant and pepper dish I am unsure what it’s called. We fired roasted them before we stewed them in spices, this we ate this with yummy fresh bread from the bakery. Then we had the chicken tagine, again with bread. Followed by fruit, melon and grapes. Then we had tea and a selection of dessert from the bakery. One exceptional dessert was with apricot and coconut, another with caramel! Divine! We had a taste sensation. We returned daily to get items at the bakery. We met Maryam’s family. We learned so much about their culture and felt so welcome. This is much more than a bakery and you must come and learn how to cook with Maryam. We ended up doing another day learning Joe to make cous cous wi high was an amazing experience. We made it with Lamb. Meeting Maryam was so wonderful. We can’t wait to...
Read moreWe ordered two birthday chocolate cakes in a row (time span of 2 weeks), each with birthday decoration for 10 people. For the first one the owner charged 290dh. For the second one 450dh! When confronted, she argued that the first one was a cheesecake and that chocolate is expensive in Morocco. As you can see in the pictures, both cakes are simply chocolate cakes. No cheesecake, we hate cheesecake and would never order one. Plus you can see on the pictures that we ordered for 10 people in both cases. She tries to tell us that the second one was more weight. We as customers ask you twice for 10 people and then you just make a heavier cake and ask for 150dh more, excuse me? And! The cake came with a delay of 30 min, so you should actually provide us with a discount. We complained but she gave us only excuses and we had to fight for having 100dh...
