Strolling alongside Amsa's promenade, I decided to stop by Al Oktobout for a seafood meal. Selecting from their fresh Mediterranean seafood on option, I opted for a red snapper and some fried calamari, alongside an order of salad and rice.
It was the latter that was first to arrive, consisting of a generous assortment of vegetables and sides. Resembling the options likely to be stuffed in a bocadillo, I found myself wishing for a simpler option. The red snapper, plancha grilled and served with a medley of vegetables was perfectly cooked. The standout was the calamari, evidently very fresh and delicious with a squeeze of lemon. The rice unfortunately arrived when I was towards the end of the meal when I was close to full, but was also solid, and I enjoyed its pairing with the fish.
Overall, for a great rendition of plancha grilled seafood with a view of the ocean, I wouldn't hesitate to reccommend...
