Dakhla Spirit Lagoon Camp — Restaurant in caïdat de El Argoub قيادة العركوب

The service level of this place is of the worst we ever encountered. These people behind the bar and the reception just don't care. You can't blame them, management is only interested in making money. If you keep this in mind, you can have an amazing time. Take your own alcohol, prices are ridiculous. Take kite lessons or rental from one of the neighbours. Most of the material at Spirit is broken or damaged.

To give you a few examples of the service: we asked for a taxi every day, but most of the time they forgot to arrange it. The management promised us vegetarian food was available, but it was not. The kitchen staff worked hard to create something, but most of the time our vegetarian friends just had to eat an baked egg. We went on a downwinder, the boat got stranded (by the low tide). We had to walk 3 km through the dessert and push the boat barefoot through mussel beds. Our feed where bleeding. When asking for a free beer or a small discount on the 180euro we payed, the management refused. No excuses, we had to pay and not even one free beer.

But...The food is nice and more than enough. The instructors are oké, but without kite equipment their hands are tied. This place is small and you will get to know the other kiters and eat together.

Spirit is not suitable for al travelers. Dakhla Attitude is...

Bad experience.

the hotel overall looks very left behind and not taken well care of the staff is a bit arrogant, especially the guys running the kite center. We never felt we were very welcomed rooms and beds super old and not good quality. Not what we expected from the pictures rental material very old as well food was ok but nothing special activities and extras (bar,...) were expensive the spot itself is probably the worse in the lagoon. It’s located right behind a hill and there is no sun at 4:30pm

Meine Rezension betrifft das Hotel indirekt! Ich in der Lagune gefischt, in derselben 5 Kiter. Ich Stömung rechts weg meine Leine so ausgeworfen, dass alle Ihrem Hobby frönen können. Ein Kiter hat sich daran gestört und wie herausgestellt der Chef der Sporttruppe.

Ein Chef geht als Vorbild hervor doch nicht so und ohne vorher ein Gespräch zu führen. Kreuzt vor meiner Fischleine sucht diese und schneidet Sie einfach durch.

Das Gespräch musste dann ein Mitarbeiter suchen und sich für den Chef entschuldigen und meinte ich solle doch wieder Fischen wenn der Chef nicht mehr vor Ort!!

Zu Wissen, die Lagune ist öffentlicher Grund und wenn da 50 Kiter sind weicht jeder Fischer aus. Deren waren 5 und der Boss musste für Fotos Posen. So etwas geht überhaupt nicht und ich hoffe, dass die Hotelleitung Ihre Mitarbeiter entsprechend schult. Es ist mehr als genug Platz da, dass alle mit Ihrem Hobby Spass haben. Am Rande konnten 2 Hotelgäste die Szene beobachten und auch nur den Kopf schütteln.

Dieser Manager ist seit Ende 2024 Geschichte, er wurde gefeuert und das Hotel wurde von der Kette wie PK25 übernommen!!
