Restaurant La Noyer is one of the few cafes open along the banks of the Oued Ourika serving Berber cuisine. Our first visit there was after a long trip into the Atlas Mountains and was recommended by our guide.
The food is okay and nothing really special, it’s hit or miss. We all had various local and regional dishes. We ordered the lamb in which there was hardly any at all and a friend who ordered the chicken that was a tiny portion and when she asked for more they gave lots of vegetables instead. The taste was okay and welcome after a long hike. I would stick with bottled water though and not the fruit juices they offer.
There seems to be a spiritual connection with cats in this region and they can often be found in various gardens, parks and even in the mountains, this includes restaurants like La Noyer where there were several cats enjoying treats from the side of visitors tables and our attention.

Overall, the combination of tasteless food and poor service made this an experience I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Such a shame, as I had higher...

Food poisoning is gradually occurring for several people and we had been warned via TikTok so had tried to be cautious with the food we chose.
Opting for an Omelette, this arrived still raw and ordering meatballs, these were also served raw, so ended up leaving most of our food.
The setting is also mixed - one side is picturesque - the other is not.
Due to lack of phone signal, you can’t read reviews of this restaurant while...
