Great products in the patisserie but the most dreadful service in the cafe/restaurant side. Twice now the waiter has pretended not to have change. We waited far too long for a coffee each and the bill was extortionate. There are enough waiters so I don't know what the problem is. In addition, our table had not been cleared last time we went and we did it ourselves. Adjacent tables were not cleared for the whole 45 minutes we were there.
EDIT: We had another fo here and wished we hadn't. The clientele has gone downhill - there are many ladies and gentlemen of the night present, minimally spending and attempting to attract clients. There was a blatant liaison made a couple of tables away from us.
We'l, it is what it is. We ordered and waited for the food. My chicken roulade with veg and mash was just acceptable but my friend's escalope was a shocker. It came with spaghetti and she'd been expecting a cheese sauce. Instead the whole meal had been covered with cheap grated cheese after it had been cooked and put under the grill. It was virtually inedible. Worse, the escalope had been overcooked to start with and was tough and simply nasty. I tried to help her, but I couldn't get more than a mouthful of this horror down me.
This is a supposedly posh place. They need to clean out the dross in terms of both customers and kitchen.
The waiters were attentive but that's not going to haul the mark up, I'm afraid. I doubt we'll be...
Read moreI've been visiting El Jadida Maison Eric during my whole stay in Morocco (five months). Most of my family's breakfast was there or we would have takeout. The service in the restaurant was always EXCELLENT. Unfortunately, today will be my last day there. I asked the cashier at the bakery to change my Almond cream croissant 🥐. I was shocked at her NASTY attitude with me. She told me I won't change it for you because you ate from it. Of course I have to take a bite to know know how it taste. I demaned to to talk to the manager. Of course he refused to come out to speak to me. The girls behind the counter kept on bouncing me between going to the restaurant and complain and some of them was asking me to stay at the bakery to wait for the "manager". Honestly, I wish I spoke to my waiter he could've changed it with no issue. The croissant 🥐 costs 4 dh only but the Moroccan severs can lose a faithful client over even 1dh....
Read moreI ate here three times during my stay in El Jadida and each time was excellent. I had fish once, a hamburger ones, and a kebab plate once. Service was always professional and effiecient. The dining room inside is a very pleasant place to linger after you eat. They also have tables on the sidewalk but I suspect there would have been traffic noise there. Very nice adjoining bakery. I got a brownie one day and it was very good. Definitely my favorite place in two weeks...
