Today I was with my family husband and my 2 daughters at Cafe del mar at first sight it looked beautiful soon there were some less nice things the staff was not all friendly they looked more like a group of gangster guards than beach staff it took at least half an hour before we could order drinks.
Unfortunately almost all of them only spoke French and not even English .
For our bad luck after 3 hours it started to rain.( bad weather) we tried to stretch the time by sitting under the canopy and ordering sushi ( which was also not good ).
With the reservation we had made a deposit of 400MAD
In total it was 4000 MAD of which I had to pay the remainder immediately upon entry which I did not see as a problem.
I assumed that we had to pay for the remainder as with many other beach clubs in Marrakech but that was not the case and the food and drinks had to be paid separately...after much hassle he pointed me to the small print in the confirmation.
And indeed there it was in so afterwards these were very expensive beds (€400) and all and all it was not worth it get earlier in the week at Nikki beach for the same amount and everything incl just TOP .
Too bad, but will never recommend cafe del...
Read moreI don’t recommend this place where you pay a fortune and are treated as you are begging for a favour whenever you ask for a service. When we made remarks to the manager he told my mom that place is actually not supposed to be luxury and is for « young people to have fun». I’m young but won’t accept paying 4000mad to be served dirty dishes below average food and awful service. At that point you get better service at McDonald’s. If you come across...

Pros: The waiters and serving staff were lovely and really attentive. Some of the food was really good like the burrata, tiger prawns and tuna tartare. And the music was fun.
Cons: The sushi seemed a bit off, like it might have sat out in the sun before coming to us. The cocktails were terrible. Cocktails are our favourite but we had to return them all and then stuck to Rose instead as felt it was a safer bet. We arrived at 12.30pmish as that's when our reservation said we had to, or we would have had to pay extra to arrive later. But it didn't get busy until around 4pm so we would have preferred to come...
