Our stay at the hotel was a really good experience and we are very thankful to the excellent hospitality and service provided by the staff - thank you to Simore, Hassan and the female staff member, whose name I did not manage to get. All 3 made our stay an enjoyable and welcoming experience.
The staff were very accommodating to our needs and went out of their way to rearrange the room and adjust our booking so as to accommodate our group in a single room as opposed to 2 rooms.
Extra towels, toilet rolls, slippers, prayer mats were all provided. Simore was very helpful in providing advice regarding the best places to go for cash withdrawal, printing boarding passes, local tourist attractions as well as also arranging our highlight of the trip - our day trip to desert Agafay which was extremely well organised and a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
The staff here can also arrange other popular excursions and day trips for you should you request - so you don’t even have to worry about looking elsewhere or online to find activities to arrange and book.
The room came with an en-suite - which had everything you needed from a bathroom. The hotel is a traditional Riad, so it will be different from a commercial hotel, none the less we had a comfortable stay.
The AC was working in the room and whilst this was not producing very cold air - it certainly managed to make the room less muggy and comfortable enough to sleep in.
The location of the hotel was also excellent - right in the medina - just a 1 minute walk down a side alley from the pharmacy by the mosque on Rue Fatima Zahra.
Our taxi dropped us off by the pharmacy and from there, Simore came to meet us and directed us to the Riad.
Google maps also directed us to tbe Riad under ‘falafel roof top house.’ Although bear in mind, just a 2 minute walk down the ‘high street’ there is another restaurant with a similar name - falafel terrace & brunch.
Fresh breakfast was provided daily on the rooftop - the view was lovely and the breakfast too - eggs with crepes, croissants, mint tea, orange juice, honey and sweet cream.
The breakfast was included in the price of the of the booking. Although do clarify this with staff after booking.
The Riad also provides freshly prepared falafel and tagine that you can buy alongside their drinks menu which includes smoothies and coffee etc. The tagine was lovely especially after a tiring journey.
The staff were available 24/7 and stayed on the ground floor. The WiFi also worked well enough for our stay.
There is a rooftop on the top of the Riad which has lovely views and a peaceful atmosphere to relax.
We recommend this Riad for those travellers who want to stay close to the medina in a budget friendly location with reliable and...

Read moreGreat place to have a delicious food with beautiful scenery. We arrived when they were closing (we didn’t know at that time) and the staff kept the restaurant open for us. Even though the falafel had sold out, they prepared warm, fresh pitas to accompany the shakshuka and tagine we had. Simo, our waiter, was really kind, gave us some tips about places to...
