Unbelievably Awful: The Worst Dining Experience of My Life. Our recent visit to Elpaso Martil was without a doubt, the worst dining experience I have ever encountered. I was there with my family of nine, including children, and we were seated on the terrace upstairs. What followed was a series of events that left us all appalled and deeply disappointed.

First, we waited for 20 minutes before anyone even bothered to bring us menus. When we finally received them, it took another 20 minutes for a server to ask if we had ordered. We said no, but instead of taking our order, he left and returned with a colleague, accusing us of lying about already ordering. His demeanor was shockingly rude and bizarre. Despite his attitude, we tried to enjoy our family time, assuming someone else would eventually take our order.

After waiting another 15 minutes with no service, I decided to speak with the manager. I went downstairs and asked a staff member for the manager, and I was told the manager's name was Najib and he would be coming shortly. When Najib finally arrived, he was unbelievably rude, even more so than the server. He blatantly told me he wouldn't force the server to take our order and that if we didn't want to wait, we could leave. He even said he was only responsible for the cashier, not the staff. When I asked who the actual manager was, he mentioned “the boss” who was not present, and reiterated that if we didn't want to wait, we could go.

Feeling utterly speechless and humiliated, I went back to inform my family that we were being asked to leave. As we were heading down the stairs, another man from the staff approached us, introducing himself as the real manager. He asked me to explain what had happened, which I did briefly. He apologized and offered us a table downstairs inside without AC so we can place our order with an other server , by that point, we felt so humiliated and disrespected that we decided to leave.

The staff's behavior was appalling, from the rude and accusatory server to the dismissive and unhelpful so-called manager, Najib. Even the initial misinformation about who the manager was added to the overall chaos and frustration. Our experience at Elpaso Martil was a complete nightmare, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It's clear that customer service is not a priority here, and it's a shame that such an establishment can even stay in business with such horrible treatment of its patrons. Avoid this place...

Nice clean setup with splendid views. Went there on Sunday for brunch. Not enough staff on board for the amount of tables available. Waited 50 minutes before we were greeted with menu's. Then another 40 minutes unit the food was served. Staff are under a lot of pressure to please everyone. As a result; Mistakes were made with dish orders, staff colliding with one another, trays of food crashing down on the floor and crockery breaking everywhere. From a relaxing calm environment to a chaotic environment all within 2. hours. Free advice to management. Great layout, nice variety of dishes however in my opinion, you need to increase your staff (especially on weekends / rush hour) and allocate 4-5 tables to only 1 waiter. P.s. Customers don't like to wait before they are served. I saw and heard many customers complaining about the length of time they were waiting.

Definitely room for...

The Worst Service I've Ever Experienced

I had the unfortunate experience of dining at this restaurant last night, and it was by far the worst service I have ever encountered. Upon arriving, we were left waiting for 15 to 20 minutes before anyone even gave us a menu. After finally receiving the menus, we had to wait even longer, only to end up walking over to the waitstaff ourselves to place our orders. Despite this effort, another half hour passed, and the waiter came to inform us that the dishes we ordered were no longer available. In total, we wasted an hour for nothing and eventually left to eat elsewhere.

This level of service is completely unacceptable. The lack of attention, delays, and communication failures made for an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. I will never return to this restaurant, and I strongly advise others to avoid it if they expect any level of...

The food is horrible: traditional soup is simply harira (horribly cooked) with seafood, and it looks like they were cooked separately and thus no correlation in taste. I ordered a steak which honestly is not good at all, it’s very salty, and who puts sauce on top of the steak?! (I should normally get to add the amount I want on my steak, this makes me wonder on whether the chef is trying to hide the fact that the steak is old or probably the ingredient are not it). I have never had caper sauce with steak (it’s usually served with seafood related plats), oh and the rice is obviously not newly cooked. In conclusion, if you are looking to eat El Paso is not the right place. But, I do want to thank the staff, they are extremely nice.

Heading for el Paso, I expected an excellent breakfast, but I was disappointed. It is unbelievable that at such a high level restaurant, 2 breakfast formulas are unavailable. I ordered 'Moroccan'. First of all they said natural orange juice was unavailable, so we had to accept canned juice. Second they didn't serve Jawhara which is part of the menu formula. Third, the Corbeille de pain was in fact a tiny single bread roll. Forth, the 'accompagnements' : honey, amelou ... denoted a certain meanness - just the amount of 2 teaspoons. However, to give the devil his due, harcha, baghrir, rghayef, the butter and the jben were quite good. Conclusion, No, I wouldn't come back for breakfast here.

I used to love coming here for the great food, service and location. But now a new mosque has been built next door and the call to prayer is so loud, it's shocking. I deeply respect the call to prayer, but this one is nerve rattling, not calming! I'm very sorry about this because I have had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here many times. The meals were very good and the service very friendly. Prices are good, too. And the views are lovely. Today I was served by Khalid, a true professional who happily met all my custom requests.
