I had the best time here. Thu Thu the daughter of the owner was my server and she also talked with me my whole Dinner telling me all about Myanmar her culture and her village. Her father and husband are the cooks and her uncle is the fisherman! True local, family run business. I had the tiger prawns which came with delicious veggies and the squid curry, Myanmar style and spicy. They make it two ways so you have to ask for it how they like it! Lots of green chili’s! I also had a local Myanmar wine from up north and it was delightful. Before leaving she showed me how to make thanakha and then applied it to my face and bug bites for me! I had complementary watermelon for dessert and she sent me home with bananas and a shell bracelet she made! It was the most...

Affordable, delicious and ample portions. The waitress was very friendly and helpful too. Saw a few regular visitors also chatting with her so it speaks volumes about the rapport she was able to build up.

She readily helped serve the soup and also offered recommendations on what to eat. The complimentary fruits, some bananas to take back and the bracelets were a perfect end to the meal.

The yakhine nga pi (fermented fish paste) was delicious. This region is famous for it but it can be off-putting to those not accustomed to it as it has a rather...

This is the 1st restaurant we went to after landing in Thandwey. It's a family restaurant with loving people, good food. Have food for kids too.

We can pick our own fresh fish, prawns and lobsters..we had grilled fish, calamari, prawn fried rice and French fries.. the bill was only 35000ks.

Eating outside of resorts is half the price and good for local people to boost their economy.

We used tuk tuk to get around everywhere. They wait for us too ( there is a charge...

A pleasant dinner in a good setting with very sweet and attentive service. Grilled squid very tender ( I suspect frozen, not fresh) and a generous helping. Vegetable curry rich flavour and not "hot". A nice touch was the free fruit and the shell bracelets each customer gets when leaving. Recommended.
