Fisherman's Kitchen — Restaurant in Erongo Region

We decided to try out this establishment today. We had some take-aways (Kabeljou and Kingklip). The quality of the food was very disappointing, with the Kingklip having a bitter taste, and strange texture. The smell of the Kingklip was definitely off. When calling the restaurant to inform them of the issue, the waitress told us to hold on for a minute, and then proceeded to tell her manager something on the lines of "These people "kamma" came here and have a complaint," with us being able to overhear the conversation, and horrible choice of language on her part. We then proceeded to speak to the manager, who never took down our details, but said we can come back the next day to fetch some complementary Sole. She also informed us that she would let the owner know. What a disappointment!

UPDATE: The owner responded to our issue promptly, and handled the criticism with a fantastic degree of tact. We ate some Sole from this restaurant tonight, and it was fresh and flavourful, and wonderfully delicious. Due to the fact that our complaint was attended to in such a proper manner, as well as the good quality of food that we have had tonight, we have decided to change our rating. I cannot recommend this seafood restaurant enough! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal.

But the real star of the show was the food. Each dish was bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors that truly showcased the quality of the seafood. Not only was the food top-notch, but the portion sizes were generous, ensuring that we left feeling fully satisfied. And to top it all off, the prices were incredibly reasonable for the quality of the food we received. LOVE the sides as well, extremely tasty chips, delicious savoury rice and fresh salad.

We went two days in a row because it was so amazing!! First time we went to this restaurant we were impressed with the combo menu. The next day we went to a different restaurant, which had a similar menu, but was more expensive and tasteless. So we visited this restaurant again in the evening, the second time I ordered the butter garlic shrimp.
