If I had a choice to not even give this establishment a rating. I would. We stopped here a few days ago and enjoyed the coffee served. BUT today was the worst experience ever!!! After ordering four cups of coffee, paid for it. I used the ladies bathroom, it was being cleaned at the time however the person cleaning it failed to tell me that she had put white cleaning detergent on the seat (which could not be seen!) She was havign a conversation with someone through the window. After getting up I was covered in this detergent, which was now all over my clothes and under garments. I raised it with her she just ignored me. I went inside and thought to bring it to the attention of management as this is a tourist 'pit stop' and wouldn't want anyone elase to experience this.I assumed the 2 senior people of this establishment were in the store 1. lovely woman of 'colour'who listened to me 2. A 'white'male that was dismissive and rude! When I informed them about my experience, I highlighted this so that no one else that use their bathroom experience what happened to me. She empathized as best as she could the more 'senior' male (who I assume is either the owner of their manager as the staff addressed him as such) completely ignored me, and what I had brought to their attention. Is this because of the colour of my SKIN? Beautiful olive brown! When I walked out, his comment was: 'You sat for free' NO, I did not!!! I bought 4 cups of coffee, check your till point $128!! And not even use the FREE WiFi you offer! Just the bathroom! The 5 other 'white' tourists that walked in DID NOT pay to use your bathroom!!!!!!. They SAT for FREE. I side stepped back and told him so. That I did not sit for free! Disgusting, utterly disgusted with this RACIST attitude in today's day and age! If treat customers like this how the hell do YOU treat your staff!!!! No wonder the poor woman that stood next you, that empathized with me looked petrified!!!! Too scared to even say a word. After visiting this establishment 10+ times over 8 years I can safely say it is a clean and tidy stop over. Some staff more switched on than others, clean facilities, overall selection of stocked products pretty good, menu is slowly evolving.

It would go a long way if the owner would great customers or even smile upon entry. I have also witnessed some bad practices at this cafe...however this establishment still currently holds the OKJ cafe banner!

This is an absolute gem and should NOT be missed by anyone. EVER. Dedes place has everything. I cannot speak highly enough of the food, the ambiance, the service, the whole place is magical. Exceptional value, great taste, clean as a pin and in a legue of its own. Okahanja we discovered is on the way to everywhere so really, make this a regular stop over you will not regret it.
