Whether you're stopping by for brunch, lunch, or dinner, here's a detailed review of what you can expect from this chic Tulum hotspot. 1. Atmosphere and Vibe The atmosphere at Neek Tulum is relaxed, yet stylish — a perfect reflection of Tulum’s bohemian-chic appeal. The restaurant has a cozy and intimate feel, with plenty of outdoor seating that allows you to enjoy the tropical weather. There’s often a trendy crowd of influencers, digital nomads, and foodies, making it a perfect spot for people-watching. Design: The design is modern with a touch of rustic charm, creating a welcoming and calm space. The natural light during the day makes the place feel airy, while soft lighting at night gives it a more intimate, cozy vibe. There are plenty of options for vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-free diners. Popular dishes: You can find options like fresh fish tacos, poke bowls, quinoa salads, and wood-fired pizzas. One of their crowd favorites is the tuna poke bowl, which is fresh and bursting with flavors. Specialties: For something a bit more indulgent, try their burgers or a pizza with a perfectly crispy crust. The truffle fries are another must-try, a delicious side that pairs well with most dishes. Drinks: Neek also offers a variety of craft cocktails, fresh juices, and smoothies. Their cocktail menu has a unique spin, incorporating local ingredients like mezcal and tropical fruits. There’s also a good selection of non-alcoholic options for those who prefer fresh, healthy beverages.

Although this place looks like it has nice food, we came here primarily just to swim. Compared to many cenotes and laguna kaan luum up the road, the entry cost is a bit cheaper at 200pp/p, and in my opinion, it offers the best loungy-swimy experience we had in our time in Mexico! Entry includes one of several cozy tables or lounge chairs or cushions to sit back and enjoy the beyond perfect scenery and use of their several kayaks and paddle boards if you want to explore the lagoon. Keep in mind though this place is pretty busy on weekends so places to sit fill up early; if you want a chair, definitely make a reservation ahead of time through their instagram. We had little desire for a chair anyway: our favourite spot here is in a hammock. They’re at the perfect height to rock in the gentle waves half in-half out of the warm water The water is warm but clean and there was a perfect gentle breeze both times we went that keep you cool. We did get one passion fruit margarita and it was perfectly balanced and delicious. They had really chill music playing both days we were there (staff playing music on weekdays and DJ on the weekend), good mellow vibes but a tiny bit loud for my taste as one who’s less into partying and more into relaxing. One more plus is that they’re open until 6:30 on weekdays and it seemed even later on weekends, later than other swimming spots in Tulum. This place is incredible and I believe relatively new and unknown, I hope you can enjoy it before it explodes in popularity!

We visited as a group based on a local recommendation. The road leading to the location is poorly maintained with numerous potholes. However, once inside, the atmosphere is beautiful and relaxed. Due to heavy rainfall, the water was cloudy, which is understandable and beyond their control. We were informed before being seated that it would cost $300 per person, which included kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. After sitting down, they offered to sell us a bottle of tequila for about 3,000 pesos, mentioning that the 300 per person would be applied towards the purchase. We decided to order à la carte instead. At one point, we asked if we could sit on the pier, which seemed closed off. We were told it was fine but to be careful. However, about 15 minutes later, our server approached us and said we needed to keep purchasing drinks if we wanted to remain on the pier, despite there being no other guests. This experience left us feeling unwelcome and subjected to price gouging. Consequently, we will not be returning. The drinks are overpriced for their size, with a small Corona costing $50. Additionally, we felt constant pressure to keep ordering drinks or food. Overall, while the place is beautiful and the music is great, the persistent pressure from the staff made the experience very unwelcoming.

If you're seeking a breathtaking escape, look no further than Neek in Tulum. This stunning environment offers the perfect setting for a day of relaxation and enjoyment. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a warm and friendly staff who made us feel right at home. The views are absolutely mesmerizing, with crystal clear waters that invite you to explore. We spent our day lounging on the cozy daybeds by the water, soaking in the serene atmosphere. The dockside experience was equally delightful, providing the perfect spot for swimming and connecting with the beauty of nature. The food and drinks at Neek are nothing short of amazing, adding to the overall experience. Every bite and sip was a joy, perfectly complementing the tranquil surroundings. One of the highlights of our visit was undoubtedly the friendly and welcoming staff, who truly enhance the environment with their warmth and hospitality. Their presence made our day even more special, and we felt embraced by the community. Many thanks to the Manager who made us feel very much at home here. Overall, Neek is a hidden gem in Tulum that promises an unforgettable day of peace and beauty. We highly recommend it to anyone looking to create lasting memories in a stunning setting. Don’t miss out on this incredible experience!

I love Neek! It’s a hidden gem in Tulum. It’s tucked away in the jungle at the end of a long dirt road. The drive to the laguna makes it even more fun because you know you are going somewhere special. When you arrive at Neek, you feel like you are really getting the experience of what the jungle is really like in Tulum. If you have never swam in the water in Tulum, you are in for something special. There is something healing and powerful about the fresh water here. Some of the things I really appreciate about Neek are that it’s not overly crowded like other places in Tulum with tourists. It’s always a good crowd of positive people. It’s good for groups, couples, and families. The drinks are great! I always love a good mezcalita. :-) The food is fresh and delicious as well. It’s the kind of place you can spend all day at between relaxing in the sun, swimming in the beautiful clear water, to falling asleep reading a book on the hammock in the water. It truly is a hidden gem in beautiful Tulum. I have brought several friends here and recommended it to others. I really appreciate the staff. They are all top notch and very friendly and accommodating. It’s one of those places you can’t just visit once. I definitely can’t wait to go back next time I am in Tulum.

I have come here several times, for friends’ parties and to paddle board in the afternoon. I have visited 5 times this year- first time in February I brought my mom and then we were turned away due to a private event!!! There was absolutely no mention of this on Neek Instagram. We had paid 800 pesos to get there. Later that week I returned with a friend and explained the whole situation and they gave us half off the entry. I then went once in March and once in April for two parties put on by a friend. The price was higher due to the DJs playing, 333 and 444. In a recent visit we were told that seating came with minimum consumption now. Alright, I don’t think the food is great based on intuition and a friend had had a horrible burger there and gave it to his dog. The price also went up to 300 Mx for entry instead of 200 Mx. The place is great don’t get me wrong, great lagoon very chill vibe, Tulumy atmosphere, no service. Honestly even with the price increase it’s the only place I know that has paddle boards, the only reason I would return is to paddle board.
