My wife and I stopped at the Everest Bakery Cafe on our way down Valley after 20 days of Tramping. First, the cafe is relatively new with our understanding being that 2025 is the first season they have been operating. The cafe is clean and tidy. The jazz music in the background was a lovely touch. The atmosphere was such that you could easily spend all afternoon hanging out and note think twice.
The food was terrific. We each had masala tea and a mini apple pie. The mini apple pie was seriously impressive. It is often hard to keep baking moist at 3000+ meters, but somehow the pie was lovely and moist and a made a perfect accompaniment to our tea.
I highly recommend for anyone looking for tea stop heading down...
