Cherka hotel & water falls viewpoint — Restaurant in Parbati Kunda

We’d planned on staying in Tatopani but as my wife was struggling with illness we stopped for a drink here and ended up staying the night, really due to the warmth and kindness Lakpa immediately showed us. He brought my wife a pillow so she could lay down in the dining room then proceeded to show me his house and garden which have to be seen to be believed. Lakpa is a beekeeper with 35 beehives and a garden where he seemed to grow pretty much everything he and his family needed. It was a truly memorable visit, made even better by meeting his wife and youngest child the following morning. Thank you Lakpa for looking after us so well…you are a special...
