Amici Vicini — Restaurant in 's-Hertogenbosch

The restaurant had nice mixed drinks/cocktails and appetizers. But we were rather disappointed with the pasta. We ordered carbonara and another tomato based pasta. The carbonara was clearly made with cream, and did not have guanciale. Both pastas lacked salt.

What was even more disappointing was to know the chef were Italian. We went here on reading some reviews from people saying the Carbonara was good and made authentic. Well, not anymore. I wonder if the chefs alter the recipes as per Dutch taste or something else. But the Carbonara was defitiely way off the authentic dish.

I took the pizza del sud, and the pizza was definitely the best pizza I ever had in the Netherlands (and I've tried many). However, I give a 4 as we were a bit disapponted by the service, at 10 pm sharp we fell a bit pressurized to leave as our plate was taken away when we barely had time to think if we had enough and we were not offered nor a dessert nor another drink. That was a pitty because the pizza was extremely delicious though, also the place is cute, with careful decoration and in a calm...

Omg! This food was so delicious, it was real italian food made by real italian chef Comparing prices to quality of ingredients ..it is ridiculous. Pizza dough was perfect made, perfectly al dente spagheti, and this taste.. heaven! You meet there wonderful and friendly staff, very nice atmosphere. I fully reccomend this place and cannot wait to visit you again! Amici Vicini gave me hope that still I can eat tasty food in NL. Thanks a lot, you made my Sunday...
