An automated silence can be forgiven once; a public accusation of harassment for merely stating one’s experience cannot. I reached out in good faith seeking only a courteous acknowledgement — a small thing, really — and received nothing in return. That omission is disappointing in itself for a business whose name promises a friendly welcome. What followed was worse: the proprietors have since posted a public reply claiming they “do not know” me and insisting I have never visited, and they’ve asked for the review to be removed. That response is exactly the kind of defensive, theatre-like reaction that turns a simple service failure into a question of character. If you ignore a genuine message, say so. If it was a misunderstanding, say so. Don’t leap straight to accusations of harassment — it’s poor form and it doesn’t help anyone. This review records my experience and my frustration. It is not a personal vendetta; it is the consequence of being ignored and then publicly dismissed. Hospitality, by its nature, requires at least the courtesy of communication. When that courtesy is absent and replaced by a public rebuke, a customer’s confidence is not earned — it is lost. If the owners genuinely wish to make amends, they can demonstrate it by fixing the issue they point to (spam filters, lost mails, whatever the cause) and by publicly acknowledging the mix-up with a straightforward, human apology — not by trying to silence those who call out poor service. Until that happens, one star is a fair reflection of the experience I had: promised warmth in name, but none...
Read moreWe ordered ramen and the pork belly was cold... like fridge cold! We had to return our meal so that they could warm it up, the result was awful: soggy ingredients with not very good taste. Also quite a salty broth. This was the restaurant's speciality, btw. Never again, can't recommend!
PS. Since there is a restaurant's reply and there is no option to reply to the reply, I will add my comments here: to consider that the situation was solved inside the restaurant by just warming up the dish or give a 50% discount it seems very wrong imho. Warming up the dish makes all the ingredients soggy which turns the recipe into a really bad one, and give a discount is not solving a wrong recipe it is just a small courtesy to the client. I really wanted to like your restaurant, but after yesterday's experience I don't, so I appreciate your offer of a new free ramen taste but this is a hard...
Read moreSmall terras, large cafe and cocktail bar area. Great combination of small dishes which one can combine to any fusion kitchen one likes. The curly fries are perfect. The Indian curry eggs very tasty. I tried the veggy dumplings with pumpkin and cashew. My youngest daughter liked the smashed meat burger. The vegetarian surprise menu was great and enough to share among the family. We could try all vegetarian choices from the menu. Some good vegan options as well, by the way. The mango ice-cream was good and fresh. Selection of beers original, from Oedipus to traditional German weizen. Staff very friendly and good service. With a surprise menu one needs sufficient time for the three rounds. Just one or two small dishes is faster, but may nog be enough for good eaters. We enjoyed...
