De Molenschuur — Restaurant in Alkmaar

Had a nice lunch here at the Molenschuur. Carpaccio sandwich was freshly made, the addition for two boiled eggs was also no problem, although the chef was clearly scratching his head about it.. 😜 The Cortado was made perfectly as it should be. Service and atmosphere in the restaurant was good. All in all a successful lunch. Everything was prepared with fresh products, the only point of improvement would be to add sourdough bread (homemade) to the menu. The only options were wheat flour breads.. Beautiful building, lovely looking food, but we were unable to eat as they were fully booked when we stopped by on our bicycles with very hungry children. Unfriendly manager then shouted at us for feeding our children a snack outside before going on our way. Thought we might return another time but will...

Een paar keer per jaar stoppen wij hier voor kop thee, wijntje en wat erbij. Altijd naar ons zin. Deze keer werd ons duidelijk gemaakt door een medewerker dat hij het blaffen van ons hondje niet normaal vond (er liep iemand voorbij met drie blaffende honden) en dat zijn gasten gingen klagen. Wij zijn direct opgestapt. Alle gasten op het terras (2) zeiden juist dat ze er geen last van hadden en dat zij de reactie ook vreemd vonden. Dit restaurant zal van ons en van onze hond ieder geval nooit meer last hebben.
