Boerderijcafé De Hooijmaat — Restaurant in Arnhem

I love this place. It's crazy child friendly. It's next to a petting zoo which is fun for kids. Plus there's a big play ground on grass and a play ground with mini tractors and bikes for kids to use. And everything is free of charge. There are picnic tables, but you can of course also use the terrace of the café restaurant.

The interior of the café is very stylish. There's a section especially for kids where they can play or read books. I like their menu and they offer good sandwiches and cakes. The staff is friendly. So I can recommend visiting this place (if you don't mind the sound of laughter and joy). It's a good place to visit with kids or families.

Leuk terras, ideaal wanneer je er met kleine kinderen bent. Voor de gewone horeca bezoeker is het niet aan te raden aangezien het speelgoed ( trapauto's ed ) ook op het terras gebruikt wordt. Wij namen ieder een broodje italiaans gezond a 6 euro per stuk. Op de kaart omschreven als : salami, kaas, pesto, komkommer en tomaat op een italiaanse bol. Op zich ok totdat de bestelling voor je neus staat. De kurkdroge supermarkt kwaliteit ( aldi ) zelf afgebakken italiaanse bol was een aanfluiting, ik zou het niet durven serveren voor dat geld. 1 plakje salami, 1 plakje smakeloze kaas, pesto en 2 halve schijfjes komkommer vind ik erg zuinig belegd. Tomaat onherkenbaar als garnering tussen niet fris ogende sla. Op ieder ander terras had ik het zonder pardon teruggestuurd, echter wilde ik er hier niet zo een punt van maken gezien de filosofie van het bedrijf. Wel ben ik van mening dat de horeca en alles wat uit de keuken komt goed moet zijn ook als er mensen met een beperking werken.

Wellicht ga ik er nog eens terug voor een kop koffie die was goed, ook de huisgemaakt boterkoek welke erbij werd geserveerd was lekker. Tip voor de exploitant. Doe het goed...
