We have been on the hunt for an authentic, local, quick spot for lunch and read great reviews about this place. We decided to check it out.
Everything mentioned is 1000% true!
Owners are from the Dominican Republic and have been cooking their homemade deliciousness to share with patrons for the last 10yrs.
OMG...I cannot tell you how GREAT the food is. And the owners are super nice too. The portions are HUGE - you can literally get 2-3 meals out of one plate order.
We tried the fish (grouper) plate, bacala plate and steak pan (sandwich). Both plates came with rice and beans, salad and french fries. The steak pan came with french fries. All of the sides can be substituted to other options as well. We also got a small seafood soup - HEAVENLY.🤩 Unlike anything you've had before- believe it!!
We took our yummies to Mangel Halto beach (5mins away) and happily stuffed our faces!! We couldn't eat everything because the servings were huge, so we took home the rest and ate it for dinner.
Incredible value for the $$. Our total was $45. So so good!
Don't miss out. Go enjoy some real home cooked food that is out...
Read moreThis place never again. To begin with, their motto is Fast, Great, and Good price! We paid for a large soup, Chicken Wings and 2 drinks fls44,. Secondly, I ask for seafood. When I opened the soup I thought they had made a mistake and given me a meat soup. It smelled pretty bad and when I tasted it, it was very sour and didn't even taste like seafood! I went with the soup and asked the lady to change it or give me my money back. The lady behind the glas said that, that is how the soup is supose to look, taste and smell. She said to just put some lemon in it and it will taste better!! I told her even if I put lemon in it, it will taste even worse because it is not good anymore!!! Never again! Not even my dog...
Read moreChachi's is not just busy at night, it's also expensive, but I guess you can't beat their late hours and ajillo/garlic sauce. I ordered the seafood stoba which had the tiniest of baby shrimp and mussels..... it was truly lacking the seafood aspect for the price we paid. My fiance ordered the shrimp plate which came with: rice, macaroni salad, and the blandest, coldest, most pitiful batatas fritas you've ever seen. The plus is that they give you a healthy amount of food and you'll definitely have leftovers. Altogether $30...
