This was exceptional! We went for dinner with no expectations because it was the only place in the area but oh what a delightful surprise. The service was soooo nice and our waiter extremely helpful, the atmosphere was just so pacific on a Thursday night with a beautiful view on the gardens and the food was unbelievable!! They even arranged a full vegan 3 course meal for me and it was so flavorful, while my partner was stunned by the meats and fish - the wine? Excellent! Just truly recommended as a great experience during your relaxing holiday in the Dutch countryside.

Went here for lunch in February '23 to celebrate my birthday. Friendly staff and chef who did their best to give us a comfortable afternoon. Was pretty quiet with only a group on the first floor..... somewhat of a VIP setting I guess. In off season it can differ a lot how busy it is....the dinner evening was fully booked. The setting of this restaurant is truly a strong reason to go here. You will get great food and an amazing atmosphere that helps you slow down.

Optimaal genoten van een avondje bij de Hoge Loo. Op het terras genieten van het prachtige weidse uitzicht en alle verschillende vogeltjes die voorbij vliegen. Echt even avondje vakantie... Met vriendelijke bediening uitgebreid genoten van een vijf-gangen diner! Goed nagedacht over de combinatie van smaken en zelfs met groenten uit eigen moestuin (waar je over uitkijkt). Een speciaal avondje uit. Genoten, we komen hier zeker terug! Bedankt!

We hadden een Tiny house op landgoed Kraneven geboekt en de eigenaresse Emma benoemde de mogelijkheid tot fine dining in De Hoge Loo. Chef kok Mike en zijn vriendin gaven ons een warm welkom en we kozen de ronde bank (heerlijk zittend voor alle lengtes) met een prachtig uitzicht vanuit de bosrand over de weides met se Schotse hooglanders. We hebben gekozen voor het 6 gangen verassings menu met bijbehorend BOB arrangement. Mike is al vanaf zijn 13e bewust met zijn passie voor koksvak bezig en kiest zijn producten en leveranciers met grote zorgvuldigheid uit. Ook de bijpassende wijnen zijn spot on! Hij verteld graag over hoe hij dingen bereid en over de producten.

Zijn gerechten zijn vol van smaak en zeer afwisselend. Hij geeft ook klassiekers de volle aandacht, door de puurheid van bereiding en keuze voor ingredienten. Zo was de dame blanche als dessert een verrukking door het overheerlijke zelf bereide vanille eis en de warme cocolade met room bereidt. En het zelfgemaakte brioche brood dat een streling is voor de smaak papillen.

Kortom: op onwijs hoog niveau, (h) eerlijk genoten van gastronomie met een grote...
