Proeflokaal Sancti — Restaurant in Bergen

Dropped in for a beer and a bite on a Sunday bike ride through the local tulip fields. The beers are simply excellent - a very good representation of the heavy Belgians with seasonal twists yet true to traditional style. We had a few toasties but were still hungry so Bram recommended the snack board and that filled our hunger gap.

The staff were kind and more than accommodating, happy to share some of the history of the brewery and, since they weren't terribly busy on a Sunday, took extra time to make sure we were happy with the food and the beverages.

Huge improvement over the tap room at the brewery. Larger and very good food selection, more outside space and no steps to climb! Lots of room inside and wonderful patio area. Beer is fantastic from the tap also available...

Prachtige brouwerij, mooi verhaal ook over het ontstaan. We werden heel hartelijk ontvangen door 2 vrijwilligers van de brouwerij. Eerst een mooi verhaal over het ontstaan van de brouwerij en de naamgeving, onder het genot van een blond bier. Daarna een uitgebreide toer door de brouwerij waar het hele proces helder werd uitgelegd. Na de rondleiding weer terug het proeflokaal in waar we genoten hebben van mooie bieren en lekker hapjes. Bitterballen waar hun tripel in is verwerkt, smaakte prima!
