Frankie's Jungle Bistro — Restaurant in Berkelland

One of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had!

We went here almost as a joke, we were in the area and the place seemed kinda funny. So I convinced (forcefully) my friend to go. And we were both so glad we did!

At first glance you might assume it's a place for kids only, with the interior and exterior housing plenty of animals, real and decorative!

When you start reading through the playfully written menu however you realize it might be a bit more that that. You're most likely going to end up with a dish you've never heard of before, from a culture/country you know little about.

We were served by the owner, who was so friendly and warm it was half the reason it was so enjoyable.

Both our dishes were amazing! And our generous portions of sides all delicious too!

Overall Frankie's Jungle Bistro gets everything right; Fun atmosphere, fantastic service and above all, incredible food.

Met valentijnsdag hier gegeten. speciaal valentijnsmenu met vooraf een knapperige bite met een lekker kippenbouillion. Daarna als voorgerecht een sharing plank. Met allerlij huisgemaakte lekkernijen zoals broodje carpaccio, kipbite, gehaktrolletje en een frisse salade/rauwkorst.

Het hoofdgerecht liet even op zich wachten, maar de vriendelijke gastvrouw gaf aan dat ze was vergeten door te geven dat we het voorgerecht op hadden. Het maakte ons niet uit, want het was gezellig en we hadden alle tijd.

Als hoofdgerecht hadden we een stukje varkenshaas en biefstuk met kruidenboter en pepersaus. Dit smaakte ook heerlijk.

Als dessert hadden we een "sorbet" met 3 soorten ijs. Het smaakte super!
