Grand Café De Bank — Restaurant in Best

Visited grand cafe De Bank for a dinner reservation with 3 persons. First off, food. The menu is impressive and inviting, a lot of familiar favorites can be found. For starters, the Shrimp cocktail was served in a fashionable way and very tasty. Slightly small compared to the bowl of soup someone else at the table got but qualitatively good. Then the main course, personally I loved the spare ribs as a main course, prepared perfectly and with a good sauce. The menu is bound in a professional way. The desert menu is slightly less varied but still quite a few good options. Besides the regular menu they where offering two extra desert options, one if them was an apple pie with was quite good. Then the service. The staff is very friendly and well mannered. The only reason why I give 4 stars instead of 5 is that our deserts were not served at the same time, two came together and the third came quite a lot later (after having asked the server if it's still coming). The atmosphere is good however the old bank building is not built with acoustics in mind, the brick and concrete walls and open ceiling make the place quite noisy when it is busy. We had only one of the three tables nearby occupied and it already felt a bit loud. In my opinion the place could really benefit from some heavy curtains or noise dampening insulation in the ceiling.

My friend and I casually wandered into Grand Café De Bank at Best on a Saturday evening, pleasantly surprised by the delightful experience it offered. From the warm greeting by the manager to the inviting ambiance, every aspect exceeded our expectations. Seated near the window, we enjoyed the lively street view while savoring our Schnitzel and drinks, perfectly complementing the relaxed atmosphere.

The Schnitzel, with its flavorful and generously portioned dish, impressed us, as did the impeccable service provided by the attentive staff. Overall, Grand Café De Bank is a gem in Best, offering delicious cuisine, inviting ambiance, and top-notch service. We're looking forward to returning soon for more...

Ik had van tevoren gebeld of het mogelijk was om glutenvrij te dineren en de mevrouw aan de telefoon zei dat dat zeker mogelijk was. Toen ik er 's avonds was vroeg ik naar de glutenvrije mogelijkheden, maar dat moest even in de keuken nagevraagd gaan worden. Uiteindelijk waren er wel wat opties, maar het was niet heel duidelijk wat wel en wat niet. Ik ben gegaan voor het pannetje knoflookgarnalen. Ze waren heel lekker, maar helaas was de friet niet glutenvrij en er werd ook niks anders aangeboden (rijst, gebakken aardappelen), dus mijn diner bestond uit garnalen en een paar blaadjes sla. Dat vond ik toch een beetje tegenvallen (hoewel de garnalen erg goed smaakten). Mijn vriend had de spareribs en daar was hij wel heel tevreden over! Het bedienend personeel was heel vriendelijk en ze deden wel echt hun best om me zo goed mogelijk te helpen! Ook zei de serveester dat er binnenkort een allergenenkaart aankomt.
