I love this McDonald's and am surprised at the ratings on here, although probably not a lot of recent reviews posted. I stop by here on my way to Maastricht because it's nearly the halfway point. Their parking lot is large (AND BUSY!), with an over-flow area as well. The bathrooms are small, but they seem to work out okay. Not a lot of highway visitors here, even though it's directly off of the A2.
Their self-ordering Kiosks can have a queue. They've changed the layout of ordering twice since I've first visited which probably delays some people. It doesn't matter too much because there are only so many orders they can process at one time, so you'll either wait at the beginning (before ordering) or after. The waiting area to pick up your order is small, can be crowded standing there. I'm sure they would prefer the people "dining in" to take their seat and wait for their number and then go get their tray, but I see a lot of groups just standing there waiting and then they go sit down. Hmmm.....
It is super clean. That's what I note about this store the most. I haven't been to McDonald's in years in the US, but since in NL, I frequent them a little more since they are so nice and the food seems better quality.
I have to mention the best part of this McDonald's in Best, NL - it's the retro decoration of the restaurant. Those original looking "Golden Arches", the Marilyn Monroe rotating statue, the Chevy in the ceiling and all the other memorabilia will make you forget about being homesick for America. They do it well, not too much. Even the tables and stools remind me of retro diners in the US. Certainly worth a visit when...
Read moreGet ready to twist and shout because this McDonald's isn't just serving up fries and shakes—it's dishing out a full-blown 1960s extravaganza! Imagine biting into your Big Mac while Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley give you that nod of approval. Yes, you've time-traveled to the era of rock 'n' roll, baby!
First off, the decor is so retro, you'll half expect a sock hop to break out next to the soda fountain. We're talking real-deal 1960s cars—or at least pieces of them—turned into booths. Fancy munching your McNuggets in a vintage Cadillac? This is the place!
And those fonts! It's like every sign, every menu board, is shouting at you in that groovy 60s typography, "Hey, dig this!" Even the restrooms are labeled in letters that look like they're straight out of a Beach Boys album cover.
But wait, the menu's got a twist too. Sure, you've got your classic McDonald's favorites, but with a side of nostalgia. Think shakes that shimmy and burgers that boogie—each bite is like a flashback to a tastier, groovier time.
In short, this isn't just a meal; it's a time machine. A place where every fry is a ticket to the past and every shake is a jive for your taste buds. So, hop in your imaginary '60s convertible, cruise down to this McDonald's, and get ready for an experience that's...
Read moreWorst McDonalds I’ve ever been to. The longest queue of vehicles if ever witnessed in the drive through because they close the restaurant for walk in at 8pm (so unlogic since the ordering machines in the restaurant speed up ordering sooooo much). That ended up in this unbelievable long queue of cars and then they forgot half of the order we did. And they were really really unfriendly when we drove to what we thought was the cashier (since they didn’t told us to which window we need to drive). We waited an certain amount of time and nothing happened, so we drove to the next window (because it was open in difference to the first window we stopped) and then this women targeted us because we didn’t yet payed (what we wanted to but didn’t worked out since they didn’t have us clear instructions)
hopefully I never need to...
