All-you-can-eat restaurant that has a strong focus on asian food. The restaurant can seat hundreds of people. The restaurant is situated above the mall, with the entrance on the outside. There is a (small) elevator and a couple of stairs that will take you to the restaurant entrance. You pay up front and you can stay for a set amount of time, like 2 or 3 hours. You are expected to leave before your time is up. During your stay, it's full self service and you will not be served at your table. Tables are located around a self-service section where you can walk around and you will find dozens of dishes to choose from. There's also a section where they will grill meat or fish on request. The idea is you can fill your plate as often as you like, with the food you like. Note that everything is prepared already and if you have certain allergies they can not accommodate. Drinks are included in the price, excluding strong alcoholic beverages. Because people are constantly walking between their table and the food section it may get a bit loud at times. The same applies if you get seated next to a large group (over 50 people are no exception). There are more quite areas in the restaurant but seating assignment seems completely random the times we visited. The food tastes good and the atmosphere is a...
Read moreI recently ate here with my family and I must say I have NEVER in my life ever been so disappointed of a buffet restaurant. 1st of all a very low quality of food, unfriendly and unqualified staff, and as a Muslim I felt as a 2nd rank citizen here. Food of buffet tasted as if it was 2 days old. Re-use of old food not finished a few days earlier and sticky floors (lots of kids dropped a lot which wasn't cleaned well), one employee 1st told me something was halal for then another employee told me it was pork. So as a Muslim I felt insulted. When I friendly confronted the 1st employee he laughed in my face and said he was joking with me. Well, I didn't feel the joke was a good one. He thought he was funny. If I wanna joke I would go to a comedy show. Also the teppan yaki meat was very dark well done when I asked for medium red and tasted like charcoal. Perhaps Dutch find this normal I thought. Also I did see some drunk idiots spilling drinks over buffet foods which results in people who do not drink alcohol have some alcohol. The irony.
Basically I am gonna stick to Amsterdam buffet restaurants and whenever someone asks me to join him here I...
Read moreAs a family we love a good buffet so if we live close to one on a family holiday, it is a must. And this one was amazing.
Selection of food was impressive, food was fresh and well looked after. Chefs were clearly knowledgeable about their stations and cooked everything to order to perfection. We were genuinely impressed.
Food selection examples in no particular order: salmon sashimi, california roll, unagi sushi, seaweed salad, pork ribs, deep fried wontons, lychees, grapes, poffertjes (made to order), big dutch pancakes (made to order), noodles (made to order), chips, apple sauce, lamb chops (made to order), mini donuts, brownies, soft serve ice cream, milk and white chocolate fountains, and candy floss (made to order).
I had a lot of fun and honestly, the 2.5 hour time limit was plenty, even with weird fire alarm situation included (the fire alarm went off but it was a false alarm). The place was nice to relax in between plates and the staff were polite and hardworking. I would come back to Beverwijk just to visit this buffet - a sterling example of the...
