Le-Ma-Se — Restaurant in Bonaire

Lots of reviews about the owner.. So first off he's a very nice man.

But as far as being an actual ice cream place goes, it's a flop.

Long story short we had to restart our order many times due to being out of milk and strawberry ice cream. Took us about 40 minutes to get four styrofoam dishes of ice cream, and we were the only ones there the entire time.

The place was also dusty dirty and had puddles of standing water that looked like it had been there for days.

I understand that the owner is a nice local personality but we had a crying toddler, an infant, and a six year old. Dude, just get me some ice cream please. My kids just literally melted.

It's store bought ice cream. Not sure...

We had spent the day exploring Washington-Slagbaai National Park and stopped for a quick refreshment at Norman's. We had a terrific cherry milk shake and some fantastic pumpkin soup. During our stay, there was a car crash just outside of town and, had we not stopped and had a great snack and a chat with Norman, we would have likely been involved.
