Restaurant 't Kombof — Restaurant in Castricum

Spent the weekend in a tiny city and found this nice bar/restaurant. You can only get there by boat—less than a minute ride and just €1, but it makes the experience feel special and a bit adventurous.

The vibe is super chill, the views are lovely, and the white beer was really good. Staff were kind and welcoming, which added to the overall nice atmosphere.

There was a small mix-up with the food—we ordered vegan platter but were accidentally served shrimp dumplings. I actually tried shrimp for the first time without realizing… didn’t love it, to be honest! Only found out it was shrimp when we saw the bill. The staff were apologetic, but it’s something to be more careful with for sure.

We got there at 15:00h which, according to the information here, indicated that the restaurant should be open, but it wasn't. We asked a local where we could park, and were informed that parking on that side was only for residents. We should have parked on the other side and come over on the ferry without the car. Very nice cosy and authentic restaurant in “de Woude”. With a terrace at the water the atmosphere is really overwhelming. After biking from Middenbeemster you have to take the ferry to cross the water which contributes to the atmosphere. We ordered a vegan and a meat hamburger.
