💐 Service and Personal Touch 💐

The service at Fort Nassau was warm and professional, offering a smooth and pleasant dining experience. While it wasn’t especially distinctive overall, the thoughtful gesture of adorning our table with a beautiful centerpiece bouquet bearing the words I love you added a truly special touch that made our honeymoon celebration feel all the more personal.

🍽️ Culinary Experience 🍽️

We opted for the chef’s tasting menu, which commenced with a trio of appetizers: a beet salad, seafood soup, and tartare. Each dish was flavorful and well-executed. For the main courses, my husband enjoyed a meat dish accompanied by yucca potatoes that were both soft and crunchy, offering a delightful texture contrast. I selected the fish, which, while well-cooked, featured a combination of strong flavors that, in my opinion, didn’t harmonize as well as anticipated. Dessert was a trio of ice cream, carrot and orange jelly, and a small carrot cake, all of which were delicious and creative.

In addition to the tasting menu, we ordered two appetizers from the à la carte selection: the black quinoa and spinach salad and the pan-fried scallops. Both dishes were amazing.

💰Value for Money 💰

Fort Nassau positions itself as a venue for special occasions rather than casual dining. While the prices reflect this, the combination of ambiance, service, and culinary quality justifies the expense, making it a worthwhile choice for celebratory events. I honestly thought it would be more pricey.

🏰 Additional Recommendations 🏰

Arriving early or lingering after sunset allows to explore the historic fort and fully appreciate the panoramic views. The opportunity to stroll around this historic site adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience.

🌟 Overall Impression 🌟

Fort Nassau offers a memorable dining experience that seamlessly blends historical charm with culinary artistry. The unparalleled views, and thoughtfully prepared dishes make it a highly recommended destination for those seeking a special and romantic...

Let’s start off by saying this was my first time in Curaçao and we dinned here because of TikTok.

We set a reservation a day in advance and we were seated right away. Loved the manager and host who helped us get a better seat with a view which I appreciate very much so did my spouse.

Let’s start off with the drinks. I had a Cosmopolitan it was good better than I’ve had in high class restaurants back home and my spouse ordered an expresó martini which she enjoyed.

I ordered a tenderloin wrapped in bacon with sweet potatoes and grilled shrimp. It also came with some sauce that was amazing not sure what it was called but it was great. My partner ordered the picanha which I actually liked the flavor a bit more in. For the sides we ordered some truffle Mac and cheese which was amazing and as well as some frys.

Dessert we got the chocolate cake which tasted like a ferrero rocher which we love.

I read some of the reviews from other post and want to add to their comments. I can understand their frustration of time but I believe is that we are all foreigners. We are used to fast food and or fast paced environments and are used to having everything instant at a snap of a finger like spoiled kids. I believe curaçao is not anything that we are used to and other parts of the world would be similar in service too. So for most it is a culture shock in the service realm. I will give them this is that even though things might’ve taken a bit longer my food was always piping hot and fresh and never incorrect compared to the states where it is hit or miss. I would also like to touch base on people complaining about the pricing if you got champagne taste and beer budget I would suggest looking else where. I paid $30 more than I would of paid back home for a dinner for 2 but this one came with a view and very good experience for me.

I want to give a big thanks to the very friendly staff and they even apologized for the bit of the wait and even offered us some free drinks on the house which I appreciated very much. I will be back next time I am in Curaçao. Thanks to...

Can I just say that this was one of my best dining experiences ever? It was, I promise. They advertise that unless you've ate with them, then you've not seen Curacao. Well given the views that we had, they're not wrong.

We chose to celebrate our 30th anniversary dinner with them. We used their website to book a table. We were greeted in a warm and friendly manner and promptly shown to a wonderful table with a gorgeous view of the sunset and downtown area. We had a lovely table for 2 that was perfect for our anniversary and they even had a table centerpiece wishing us a "Happy Anniversary".

We had a wonderful server named Damy (sp?). She was prompt, polite and made our evening even more special with her easy going manner and fantastic personality. A true professional. We watched her serving the 4 tables around us and appropriately met the expectations of each table, taking into consideration where they were from and the cultural differences that made each table unique. She did a splendid job and upstaged even the view and the food, which is not easy.

The views are outstanding, see the pictures.

The food ... fabulous! We took advantage of the "Chef's Menu" and it did not disappoint and provided great value. The chef is to be commended for his creative pairings and attention to every little detail.

The drinks were terrific too. They have a great wine list and a fantastic cocktail menu. If for some reason you can't find what you were looking for, let them know, they'll make it for you and delight you in the process.

This place rates as high as I can go. The atmosphere, the staff, the food, and the views. All of it ... top notch.

Again, I want to thank Damy for an especially fantastic night. Her charming personality, wit and inviting smile, pulled everything together and made it a perfect night.

I'll be back the next time I'm in Curacao, but if you're there, reading this, wondering if it's worth it ... stop wondering and just make a...

My expectations were much higher than what my husband and I experienced. Our servers were amazing without question. Our food came at a fair time with little wait. Our server surprised us with a flaming cake and mini bottle of champagne 🍾. For these 2 reasons I gave a 3 star rate. A 5 star rate is possible if some changes are made. We arrived at 5:45 and was seated on inside next to sliding windows at a larger table. It was extremely hot. The server opened the windows a little but I thought I was going to pass put it was so hot. We asked to be moved next to the wall where canons are located bc the breeze is perfect, but were told the tables were reserved. We had called in reservations but was told about the different options available. Once the sun was down and it was dark a cool breeze began to blow through the area where we were seated after we asked for the windows to be slid all the way open. The food was good but very expensive for the portions served. Some appetizers and salads were app $25 and up. You can check the website for exact prices. We were served from the Dinner menu. Every entree I looked at was app $50 and up. I ordered Black quinoa and spinach salad | truffle-goat cheese croquettes | salted pecans | blackberry | tamarind vinaigrette salad $25, and my husband ordered the − $47.50 Caribbean ‘bouillabaisse’ | two types of grilled local fish | fennel & leek | saffran | potato gnocchi baby vegetables from A LA Carte menu. We also ordered appetizer of Homemade ravioli of pumpkin in truffle sauce crisp Coppa Stagionata ham | Parmesan shavings for $29.50. It was delicious but very minature in size. See photos for servings. The view outside the restaurant is ok, mostly industrial with service ships and old refinery. I would not say it is a 360°view. The dessert was amazing. Between proportion and presentation upgrades, would determine if we ever return. My husband and I have dined in many fine restaurants and The Fort Nassau has a few things to work on in our opinion.
