Paviljoen Restaurant Badmeester Keimpe — Restaurant in De Fryske Marren

We came in on a Saturday afternoon, having just arrived in the town a few hours earlier. This place was highly recommended by the receptionist of our B&B so we decided to give it a go. We were wary that we had no reservations and asked the waitress the same who assured us that it was no problem. We were then directed to the back of the restaurant where we were given the seats next to the store room. The next 2 hours were spent with the staff going in and out of the store room and a fly which just won't leave us alone. My daughter and I ordered the fish medley menu which took a long time to get there, which was fine, had it been worth the wait, which it wasn't. Our overall experience was not a positive one and the only reason for the 2 stars is for our waitress who was a lovely and friendly young lady who served us well. We've never been so poorly received. After waiting for about 15 minutes and seeing the waitress go to the other tables we decided to call her a 1st time from a distance with a wave of the hand. The waitress saw the sign but didn't come over. 5 minutes later, her colleague who was dedicated to serving the food passed by us and we asked her to be able to take our order. She replied that her colleague would come very soon. 10 minutes later I decided to get up and ask the waitress to take my order. But she didn't come. She returned to the terrace to continue taking orders from the customers who'd arrived after us. So we decided to leave after more than 30 minutes without being able to...

Waren hier een poos niet geweest en kwamen speciaal voor de Badmeester Keimpe plank. Helaas die viel erg tegen. 32 euro voor een plank met wel erg veel kale nacho chips en brood, 3 bitterballen 1 nasihapje, 3 garnalenstaartjes en 2 samosa’s, een beetje tonijnsalade, 3 plakjes coppa en 3 plakjes mortadella, beetje sla en een bekertje olijven. Ik herinner mij dat voorheen er ook vis op lag zoals gerookte zalm etc. Het was veel geld voor de plank. We bestelden er ook friet met mayo bij en die werd geserveerd in een kommetje met een vingerhoedje mayonaise. We vroegen om meer mayonaise en die werd gebracht tegen de tijd dat de friet haast op was. Koud laten worden is ook geen optie. Tafelgenote en ik gingen voor de gingerbeer ( alcoholvrije frisdrank) die wel erg aan de prijs was, 5.40 voor 200 ml. We wilden wel een moscow mule, maar dat kenden ze niet. Toen hebben ze de wodka in een klein glaasje naast een klein frisdrankglas geserveerd waar een stukje limoen en klein takje munt in zat op een centimeter crushed ijs. Dit drankje kost in totaal zo’n 9 euro en dan op deze manier serveren is echt teleurstellend. Ik vroeg om een groter glas met meer ijs zodat we het daarin konden gieten, maar dit was niet mogelijk! Wel werd er na 3 keer vragen een extra glaasje crushed ijs gebracht. Plank, 3 bier van de tap ( speciaalbier was helemaal aan de prijs), 2miniglaasjes wodka, 2 gingerbeer, 1 radler en kopje koffie, 80 euro. Dit is niet leuk meer.
