Cafe Restaurant De Punt — Restaurant in De Ronde Venen

I cycled there on a warm summer afternoon. As I walked to the terrace the young waitress said hi to me. I sat down and waited till she finished with customers who were paying up. She finished with the customers and proceeded to clear up plates from the other terrace across the road. I had to call loudly to get her attention and she came over to my table. I asked why she didn't serve me, she said " I didn't see you sit down, I said " you did see me because you said hi to me " she then changed the story to " I have to clean the other terrace " so clearing plates up and letting the customer wait is their way of serving. She didn't even get it when pointed out her her that this type of service is rubbish. The customer comes first....

Not only does De Punt serve lekker food in their restaurant, but they also have an excellent catering service. For a company event Mark and a colleague came and cooked in my garden, served drinks and were polite , professional and served really excellent food (one of my team said it was the best BBQ they had ever been to). A huge piece of rib eye, salmon, satay sticks, burgers, prawns, grilled vegetables and fresh salads They provided the tables, covers, cutlery and glasses too. The location of the restaurant is good and nice. What's also great about it, is that people come there all the time, especially the cyclists.

The hostess in the restaurant was lovely and friendly.

Prices are ok compared to other restaurants in the area. I just have a note about the plates and glasses, I wish they were bigger, especially the ones in which they serve cappuccino.
