We were so glad that we had booked this hotel. It was a true gem. Room spotless and seemed like it was a loft room. Overlooked canal and the outdoor area. Staff - brilliant. They certainly made our stay so much better. First thing my husband did was have a Guiness at the Irish pub downstairs. We sat around down there for ages chatting with the staff. We were so tired after over 29 hours travelling we shared a hamburger and fries for an early dinner (very yum) and hit the sack.||||Bed very comfortable. Bathroom had everything you would need.||||Wait until you see the breakfast that is included in the price. About three different cold meats. Two different cheeses. Salad leaves. Then a board filled with two crunchy rolls, two croissants, two pieces of a type of cake, raisin bread, and a lovely crunchy bread. And don't forget the bowl of fruit beforehand and the fresh orange juice. We were also asked if we wished to have scrambled eggs as well. That was a very definite no from us. After all that we most certainly didn't need lunch.||||This hotel is in the quaint village of Abcoude, a twenty-minute train ride from the centre of Amsterdam. And coins are needed for the ticket machine. ||||Would we recommend this hotel? With no...
