Hotel Restaurant Café Boschzicht — Restaurant in De Wolden

Booked an overnight stay for the Truckstar Festival at the nearby TT Circuit. Parking is in a little unpaved woodland area around the corner. After doing 3 laps of the parking area, we couldn't find anywhere to park, so we pulled over and enquired inside the property. They very kindly allowed us to park in the "no parking" area at the rear of the hotel. Once parked, we went to the bar to check in. Paid for the room in full and added breakfast. The room was basic and adequate for our needs and spotlessly clean. No kettle, but a small fan, hairdryer, and toiletries. Very comfy bed, and we all had a good nights sleep (which we needed after a long day on the road and in preparation for spending the next 2 nights on an air mattress). Breakfast was delicious - a fresh, hard-boiled egg, a portion of creamy youghurt and plenty of meats, cheese, bread, pastries, and fruit. The sausage (I'm guessing liver sausage) was new to me, and I'm trying to source some now we're back home in the uk as it was that good....

We took a change and exited on a random exit on the freeway around dinnertime. Followed the signs to Boschzicht. It is a nice steak-restaurant (and small hotel)!||||The food is well prepared. My meat was a bit dry. All the dishes are rich in flavour. Staff plentiful and nice and a good ambiance (quit a view locals by the looks of it). The beers were a bit on the small side. Good coffee though! Prices are average.
