Warm welcome on entering. Greeted in German with staff having a good command of the language. Probably also proficient in English. Not very busy but everyone seemed very contented with lots of positive comments. Children at other tables well catered for. Clean and well appointed toilets. Having looked in Germany for a suitable place to eat, we were pleasantly surprised by finding such an easily accessible and friendly place to eat immediately after entering Holland. It's a pretty neat place for pancakes and I love that they have a few places for kids to play. However, I think the food is just okay and rather pricey (20 Euros for most pancakes), I think the pancakes are pretty oily and the vegetarian options are not up to standard anymore imho. There are no salads without meat, and even the "vegetable soup" was based on a beef broth last time I asked. Best freshly made herb butter and Poffertjes have ever had though 🤗 The staff is...

we were 4 of us, each ordering a drink of the menu, and a pancake. My daughter later asked for a glass of tap water, which the staff said no problem. Another staff brought a bottle of mineral water of the menu, which I said was not what we ordered. He said they don't serve tap water and "we need to make some money too".....:-( I found this extremely rude, especially since we had already ordered 4 paid drinks and pancakes. We will NOT be back...
