Steakhouse Lutscher Alm — Restaurant in Enschede

Well, what can I say about this restaurant. I arrived and the atmosphere was mediocre, very Austrian. Not my thing. Service was okay, the waitresses did what they had to do and were more concerned with speed than friendliness and service.

The food... I didn't even bother to take pictures.. I wish I could say it was good, but it wasn't. The fries were double-fried, hard and almost crystallised. They looked and tasted like they had been fried in old oil. The schnitzel was old, pre-fried and then reheated and topped with so much sauce that the schnitzel could not be seen (more sauce than schnitzel), as well as the mixed grill: the chicken breast was dry, the steak was also reheated not tender at all and let's not mention the spare ribs or the salads. Bad.

In short: All the food was pre-cooked, which did not benefit the food at all. It took the cook less than 5 minutes to cook and prepare the plates for about 30 people. Live cooking but it was so not worth it. It seems the quality has gone down a lot since the pandemic.

If you see the stars, you would bet to get a 4. But honestly spoken Food and Drinks are the most important things, for which you enter a Restaurant again.

I had a Schnitzel Jägerart, which was very compact, not as you remember a Schnitzel with a nice smooth and thin crust of panade.

My friends had the Ribs, which were okay, but need additional 1-2 hours to be more tender, juicy and delicious. The marinade...

Always good food, every time ive been it'd been fantastic. Staff are great, and such an atmospheric place. The reason why I give 4/5 stars is because there appeared to be a bag of drugs in the men's bathroom. Which is concerning because there were children present in the bathroom. I showed the picture of the bag to one of the cooks and they handled it with care and professionalism. So I'm glad they got it sorted. Nonetheless great food, I will...
