This beautiful restaurant “Zoet of Zout” is located right next to the seal sanctuary and was the highlight of our day. After a 50 km bike ride, we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home. We were lucky enough to sit outside, enjoy the sun and experience an excellent lunch - and at normal prices! The whole ambience, both outside and inside, is simply a feast for the eyes. The interior is modern, tasteful and lovingly designed, with large windows offering a view of the natural surroundings. Everything feels inviting and high quality without being over the top. The atmosphere is relaxed and you can tell immediately that a lot of value is placed on an all-round wonderful experience here. About the food: The dishes were beautifully presented and prepared to a high standard of craftsmanship. From the starter to the dessert, everything was just right. The ingredients were fresh, the combinations creative and the taste excellent - a feast for the senses! We particularly liked the fact that quality is not equated with inflated prices here. You really do get exclusive food at fair prices. This restaurant is also ideal for families. There is a play area for children, which makes the stay exciting for the little ones and relaxing for the parents. A real plus point, as everyone can enjoy their visit to the full. The service was excellent throughout. Friendly, attentive and professional - we felt well looked after all round. It's the little things that make the difference, and the team here knows exactly how to make guests happy. Conclusion: The visit to the “Zoet of Zout” was more than worthwhile and was the crowning glory of our trip. A beautiful place where everything is just right: great food, an appealing ambience, child-friendly options and excellent service. We were so impressed that we immediately recommended the restaurant to friends - and they can only confirm our positive opinion. If you are in the area or planning a special excursion, you should definitely not miss this restaurant. Whether for lunch in the sun, a cozy dinner or simply to enjoy the special atmosphere - an absolute recommendation! We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Good food, but not excellent. Great view over the bay. Prices reasonable. Service lacks personal attention. It was a very busy place so most people like it, however to us it was like eating in a “food-factory”; too massive for our taste. Update: had diner again at August 9th at Zoet of Zout with 4 people. Service was better; it was a pleasant experience. See attached foto’s of our plates.

We had a reservation for 12 people for a dinner. When we arrived they couldn't find our reservation at first. Then when we got seated, they brought us drinks meant for another table, but they still added them to the bill. They were very strict about ordering from the lunch menu, even though there weren't many other children's options on the dinner card.

There were very little vegetarian options and no additions could be made to an order. We waited more than an hour for our food, nobody stopped by to tell us it would take a while longer. When the food finally came, it turned out they forgot one order and all the vegetarian meals that we ordered were either tasteless or dry.

I think this can be a nice restaurant, but the owners/employees should be better prepared to handle larger groups and/or a...

Wow and great… we had the ‘Twaalf uurtje fish’ which consisted of a bowl of fish soup, a croquette and a mini burger with shrimp salad. The fish burger was fresh, tasty and just the right size. The croquette was run of the mill, nothing special… But let’s talk about the soup! OMG delicious and I could have dived into a bucket of it! Just the right texture, just the correct richness and depth of flavor, and filled with fish, shrimps etc. Served with a slice of fresh crusty bread, it was as close to perfection I have ever come to with a fish soup. Altogether a thoroughly enjoyable plate of food. The menu is varied and interesting, and I spotted a good few things that I am looking forward to trying on...
