I ordered the Eggs Benedict and here is my review of the meal;
Bread was bare, no sign of sauce (I understand you meagrely drizzled some onto the salad) Egg yolks and eggs were cold and hard - I've never had eggs Benedict with a solid egg yolk... Not much taste to the meal, had to use salt Random salmon flakes? Not mentioned on the menu and didn’t add any benefit to the meal
The sandwich could have been much fuller and complete for the price paid - it felt half done and empty. Also the taste wasn’t there at all , it was bland.
The service was rushed. The waiter took our fries away before we were done eating them - without asking.
Food overall was sub par and it’s hard to hear other people talk over the music and wind, even when sitting further outside the porch area.
I’ve been here 2-3 years ago for a club sandwich and the results were exactly the same, no changes or improvements to the service or food. The bread was flimsy and the contents fell out, even with the toothpick to hold it together. The toppings were also in need of taste and flavour.
Just because you have a good location by the water doesn’t mean everything else can be average. Porterhouse is a classic case of a visual brand eyeing stronger than the actuality. I say don’t waste your money on the food, enjoy the atmosphere and a drink,...

We’ve been here a couple of times before. While the service has always been a bit slow, it was never bad enough to complain about—until today. Unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing this time.
We were served by three different waitresses—two ladies in white and black striped tops who were sweet, but service was still very slow. We waited nearly 45 minutes for our food, and only when we were nearly finished did my husband’s meal finally arrive.
To make matters worse, one of the kids accidentally knocked over a drink. When we asked the waitress in the denim top - who seemed to be the lead waitress, to help clean it up, her attitude was shockingly rude. The expression she gave and the clear annoyance in her demeanor were completely unprofessional. Accidents happen, and if a customer politely asks for help, it shouldn’t be met with visible frustration.
While we understand it was a busy day, there’s no excuse for bad service. If helping customers with something as simple as a spill feels beneath you, then perhaps it’s time to reconsider your role. Unfortunately, this experience has left us very...
Read moreThis place has a lovely location. You can sit outside, covered, in the sun or in the breeze or under a nice umbrella. The view is great and the tranquil sounds are also very inviting. I just feel the food has gotten worse over the years and the service too. Last time I visited it took about 15-20 minutes before I had to clear my own table and grab my own menu. We had among other things the smashed avocado and the pulled chicken flatbread. Neither were up to scratch. The smashed avocado was more like a thick spread with barely any taste and no idea what it was mixed with. Maybe some crème fraiche to be cost effective? And the pulled chicken flatbread barely had any chicken. The taste was also just lacking. They seem to be relying more on pre-bought sauces instead of spices en herbs. It feels like corners are being cut. And this place used to be worth the money, but now I’m not so sure. Also, while we sat outside we did go inside to use the restroom and the bar area as well as the toilets were a mess. It may have been a busy day (didn’t seem like it - plenty of empty tables), but even then you could see some things had really been piling up over time. Too bad. Great location with free parking etc, but the service and food...
