Domino's is not a bad pizza place. Although the pizzas with certain meat toppings are often a bit fatty (dripping) and to my taste they add too much tomato sauce, they taste nice and they are pretty much what you can expect from low priced pizzas.
Ever since they opened a place in our neighborhood, delivery is usually pretty fast. I also like how their website works. Make sure you look up coupon codes for the particular dominos branch you are ordering from. Might save you a euro (or a few).
So far the good part. Now for the rest ...
Today I ordered using the website, to pick up the pizzas, since i had to make a quick stop at the nearby supermarket anyway. I was a bit early and i had to wait a moment. At least long enough to observe the way they work. Overall it looks pretty organized but not very hygenic.
No gloves and i didnt see any hand washing by the staff at any moment before or after switching stations.
Also at the toppings station they have all the toppings in small containers and a grate in front of them. They place the pizza bottom on the grate and fill up the pizza with toppings. Of course a mix of toppings ends up not on the pizza but falls through the grate and ends up in a container below.
Today i witnessed one employee getting that container out, going through it with bare hands, picking out various pieces of vegetable (onions, paprika and mushroom) and putting them back with the respective containers to be reused. I have 3 big issues with that: unhygenic not suitable for vegetarians not suitable for people with certain allergies
This all is because at least part of the vegetables have touched meat and meat might end up in the vegetable containers.
Even though i suspect that other pizza places do the same, no customer should ever.have to witness this. This shows that staff members are not very motivated to deliver the best product they can and that they dont have a lot of respect for customers.
Also i witnessed a male staff member with very hairy arms preparing a pizza bottom, then draping it over his hairy arm and carrying it over to the next station. That was repulsive to see and it made me check my pizza for hairs when i got home. Luckily enough all hairs were firmly attached to his arm. This time.
I am not a vegetarian so i dont care much about that bit but it is badly overruled by other concerns. I will not order from this dominos again.
My advice: dont order food from this place, unless you dont care eating 'just okay' pizzas for a low price but also dont mind getting sick or finding unwanted ingredients...

Yet a few days later they still reached out to us directly and offered us a voucher for a free pizza as a compensation, which was very unexpected but absolutely...
