Sophia's Italian Halfweg — Restaurant in Haarlemmermeer

We had to wait more than one hour from arriving until food was served. We ordered a sharing plate (two people). The plate was not very sharable. Tomato soup in a small glass, one frikadel a toast and some fries. The waiter was not directly rude, but not friendly either. It seemed like he had a bad day and we were in his way. The food was OK, a little expensive. The location is beautiful with stunning surroundings and a rustic feel! Did not feel safe with small children and no fence to protect from falling...

I would give this place 0 if I could. By far the worst service ever seen. The waiter was rude, extremely slow, unresponsive, and condescending. Three of us that joined the group later were not served after half an hour, after which we decided to leave. The guy would not even look our way or reply to our calls. Very unprofessional and demeaning. Everyhing else was okay (accommodation, surroundings, terrace, etc.). Coffee and pizza, to those that received them,...

We arrived without a reservation for dinner. The server gentleman went out of his way to clear off a table that was being used for paperwork. Not only was he very polite, he also made sure we were taken care of, even though he was catering to a large celebration group. The pasta was very good, and the spareribs were excellent! (Famous Dave's and Tony Roma's, eat your hearts out) I doubt we would find tastier food while visiting in and around...
