Zyanos Bistro — Restaurant in Haarlemmermeer

I'm usually not one for hidden gems or secret spots. But this is the best culinary surprise I've had in years! Hidden inside a furniture store is Zyanos. The owner has been a chef forever and now runs the bistro where you'd least expect it.

The service was great, quickly helped and we had a coffee ready before we could decide on lunch. We couldn't pick one so we were offered to spilt the options and have half on each plate. Spicy chicken on farmers bread and mixed meats on ... Pastry? I forget the name. Both equally delicious and extravagantly dressed with dressing, sauce and herbs.

I mean look at the photos, just perfect.

Another coffee so we wouldn't pass out from the after lunch dip and back to work.

I wanted to love it, and I did. Why is a restaurant this good inside a furniture store? How can they afford to sell such good, fresh food for such a reasonable price?
