Dudockx Bar & Kitchen — Restaurant in Hilversum

We visited Dudockx recently for my husband's birthday dinner. The food was quite average. No surprise or different flavors. Didn't find any of the 4/5 course meal worth a Michelin star. We also ordered some fries for the baby, which seemed quite old and out of the freezer. Overall service was okay, nothing impressive. The ambiance is also quite normal, and initially no music was playing so ummm overall okayish experience. They keep adding more bottles of water even when refused just adding to the bill unnecessarily, but well not worth complaining about. We asked if we could maybe get a candle with the dessert to at least celebrate and not even that, just simply nothing to mark the special occasion for us. Nothing to complain about overall but nothing stood out for me as a Michelin star restaurant. Hence wouldn't recommend anyone or visit again...

After living for sometime in Hilversum, we just tried Dudockx yesterday, we should have been gone there earlier !! We love the place, the food & the ambiance. Husband take 3-courses menu (not the chef surprise, for the next time ;)) & I had Risotto and the catch of the day, Tarbot .. gosh they were all so good!! Both meat and fish were cooked to perfection. Thanks Dudockx and see you...

My first royal experience in dining. Each waiter is a food artist who explains beautifully about what is being served. They serve you wonderful starters before the main course every once in a while so you never get bored here.
