Went here for a birthday lunch. Six of us ordered the special of the week(which costs €27 per meal. We were told it was a guinea fowl wellington. When the food was brought to the table the waiter told us they didn't have the pastry batter so they made us chicken legs with chips and gave it to us. At this point they had the food in their hand, other were people were being given their food and we had been sat waiting for an hour and we're hungry. We accepted the food. We were still hungry after eating The tiny portion of food we were given. The meal also took a hour to arrive to our table and including the dessert we where sitting there from 1 to 4. The menu offers around 10 starters and 8 mains as well as a degustation menu - the options are creative but keep the cottage vibes with typical Irish dishes.
I went with the fried brie for starters and had the duck after - while I'm confident I could've chosen the local lamb or filet of Irish beef and would have been just as happy!
