I stayed at this hotel for 20 days and closer to the end of my stay I realized that the staff have no respect for solo guests. Which are a large part of their custom from what I saw.||||I was told by a male member of staff that there were blood and urine stains made by my dog on the sofa in my room and that these had sunk into the below layer, under the cover. It would have to be specially cleaned according to him as they had a big group coming and the room would be used for that. They were all like a broken record over this big group, as if that took priority over other guests. When I asked to prove it he lifted off the top cover of the sofa and there was nothing underneath, apart from some old stains that could barely be seen on the white base. When I advised him that the liquid on the sofa was actually water I had used to clean the sofa when the dog had been outside and then gone on it, so there was no mud left, instead of apologizing for his mistake he started saying there was a bad smell in the room because of the dog and again said it would need intensive cleaning. I told him the dog had been out in the rain and that open the door for an hour or two would settle it. Before I left I made sure the room was spotless and took photo's. However, when I complained about this behavior to the hotel's head office the manager of De Witte Brug Mr Flu reverted and was still insisting that there had been blood and urine on the sofa and that the room had needed intensive cleaning. He even added that my dog was clearly ill. She actually visited a vet while in Lekkerkerk and was given a general bill of good health there. A couple of the staff at this hotel are dishonest and too quick to cover up for each others mistakes and ignorance against guests. It's a pity because otherwise it...

Read moreThe hotel looks nice from the looks on the outside. The area is nice around the hotel. But the staff is not very friendly, most of them look bored and annoyed by any questions. By arriving we had a friendly check-in but that was all. The other girl sitting next to her was looking agitated and rolled her eyes for something my husband asked. The room was very outdated, beige bathroom, brown furniture, weird dirty green carpet. It wasn't all that clean either, the bathroom had mold and so did the shower curtain, the curtains in the room we're really dusty. There was no AC, no minibar. The room was so warm. And the inconvenience of hearing everything from downstairs and neighboring guests was not pleasant. The breakfast was really bad. Coffee machine was not working properly and some problems with the juice machine, 1 yoghurt to choose from, bread was tasting bland and the tables were still dirty from the previous eaters and it wasn't even busy. We payed 15€ p.p.! For a 4-star hotel this was not even close to four. Rather 2-star hotel. Water damage on the walls and old dirty looking hallway carpet. For this experience we are never coming to this hotel again. Fletcher should be ashamed of this hotel calling it a 4-stars hotel.. 2 stars for the nice check-in lady, friendly cleaning staff, parking spot...
