Châlet Couvert is a bit of a hidden gem! Walking in, you might be surprised, it’s got this upscale, fine-dining vibe that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled into something special. The interior is modern and elegant, which isn’t exactly what you’d expect for an all-you-can-eat spot. It’s a nice touch, making you feel like you’re getting more than just a typical buffet experience.
The staff is fantastic, too! They’re young, energetic, and clearly committed to keeping things running smoothly, which makes the whole dining experience relaxed and enjoyable. They’re friendly without being overbearing, and they seem genuinely excited about the food they’re serving.
Now, about that food: the main dishes are pretty solid. You get a good variety with both French classics and a few Eastern-inspired dishes. The tuna tataki, black Angus and beef tenderloin tips were standouts for me, fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. They definitely take some care in their cooking.
The only area that didn’t quite hit the mark was dessert. While they have a large free dessert buffet, I felt the options didn’t really live up to the quality of the mains. So, if you’re a dessert fanatic, it might not wow you.
Overall, though, Châlet Couvert is a great spot if you’re in the mood for a laid-back, stylish evening with plenty of options and a warm, welcoming vibe. Just don’t expect the sweets to...
Read moreTo start, the food is delicious. However, for the price, i would expect better. If you are vegan, this is not a place to go as you will barely have any options, not many more for vegetarians. Also, for lactose intolorant people, there is no option for you was there are no plant based milks available.
The butter with the bread for plain and not even soft enough to spread. This was a very disappointing start to the meal.
You will have to eat every meal with the same set of cutlery for a place that sells itself as an upscale place. This is unacceptable.
Several dishes are essentially the same. The salmon and shrimp both came with spaghetti and hollandaise sauce. This was not a tasty dish. However, that is the only dish that wasn't tasty. All other dishes were delicious.
Additionally, they are cutting a lot of corners. The 'French onion soup' isn't French. it's using Dutch cheese that doesn't melt instead of gruyere. The 'Creme brulee' is just pudding as it's missing the caramelized sugar on top.
They have a fantastic buffet dessert section with a lot of different fruit, cakes, and ice cream options. Including a white and milk chocolate fountain. Great for the kids!
They have an English menu...

It sounds weird, but it works!!
Very good service, good wine selection, decent bar. The food is very very good, the concept of just order one dish at time, combined with small but pleasant portion sizes, means that you get a very relaxed dining experience.
The dessert buffet is good, especially the baked goods that come from a local bakery just up the street.
One very important note is that this place takes food allergies VERY serious.. if you indicate in advance then at the table the menu items containing the allergens are clearly marked and when someone else at the table orders a dish with an allergen, there's a double check to make sure the right person...
