Bartele's Diner — Restaurant in Leeuwarden

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, contributing to a pleasant dining experience. I ordered the bacon and cheese burger, which was flavorful and satisfying. However, one suggestion for improvement would be to offer guests the option to choose how they’d like their Angus beef cooked, as it was only served well-done. Some diners might prefer it ‘medium’ or even ‘rare.’

The fries were prepared in the Dutch style, but I think they could benefit from being a bit spicier and crispier. Perhaps leaving them in the fryer a bit longer would achieve the desired crunch.

In the past there was a Thai at this location, and we always brought a visit when we are driving past Grou.

Well now there is a diner over here. The interior is very nice and has nice atmosphere. Hope you like trains, because you will see them a lot 🚂

We had a great burger and a poke bowl. I'm a real burger guy, but had some poke bowl too and it was better then I expected 😁 The waitress was doing her best to please us.

Great stop off the highway A32 at Grou. What a wonderful find. It is tastefully decorated with retro American diner complete with a jukebox and pinball machines! The food was outstanding.
